This trip started with the troubles mentioned in the Lounge, but I won't get into that here. If you haven't read it, check my "Traveling Again" topic.
I got to the hotel Thursday night, where Crittle already was. OMG had to go pick up Mystic and Onna, as I settled into the room and started to put things up for the party. Crittle and I went out to get our badges around 8pm, and Kazari met up with us there. I also got to meet Jade there, I met her in the past but never got to talk much with her. After meeting up, we went for a walk, Kaz already ate so Crittle and I got subway. There was also a Ice Cream place there, so I got some Strawberry smoothie. Kaz had to go meet up with her folks, so we went back to the hotel.
Once Onna and Mystic got there I introduced myself to them since it was our first time meeting. We all got some talking in that night, Mystic got to call her mother. And I went to bed kind of early.
I woke up first, and started to get ready for the day. Kazari met up with me for the convention, we went in and walked around a little than sat down for some AMVs, there was one that was really well done. It was the sound from the "Termenator 2" ad to FMA. I may look it up online and give the link if I can find it. After that we walked to BK for breakfast, Jade came in there and I started to talk with her. After eatting I went through the hotel that we had to walk through, and said good bye to Kaz. Though before I left, I realized I needed to get some batteries and there's a gift shop there at that hotel, so I went into the gift shop. Not long after I was in the gift shop, Jade came in as well with her friend.
I went to walk back to our hotel together, than realized that I lost a Michaelangelo trading card I had in my pocket... on the way back to where I thought I lost it, we bumped into Kaz again. We said hi to her, as she picked on me asking if I dont' have enough cards in the room. She was right, and there was still stuff I had to do that day, so I went back to the Courtyard with Jade. I went to my room and got things together for the day, Kaz called me she was going into the city, and that she got it okayed to meet up with Scott Williams, and invited me. I went and got a bus pass and headed into the city.
We met at the Impire State Building, and had lunch there, it was just Scott, Kaz and me for lunch. Than we walked to a comic book store, where I found a Trigun shirt I wanted to get SW, though they didn't have it her size. Than we walked to a park area at Broadway and 6th Avenue. After sitting around and talking for awhile, we went into KB (which I really shouldn't of) when I found a bunch of TMNT stuff I wanted. Since I wasn't spending any money in the dealer room, I spent my spending money there on TMNT toys. One of the toys I have to THANK Kaz a lot for!!!
When we walked into the TMNT isle Kazari found him first, it's Quarry!!!!!!!! I digged for another one, REALLY wanting that figure!!! Though when I didn't find another one, I excepted my fate of loosing out on the best find on the trip, though Kazari was nice and said that I could get Quarry! THANKS! THANKS! THANKS KAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm VERY happy with this toy! It's one I REALLY been wanting!!!!!!!!
After that Kaz had to meet back up with her folks, so I went back to Anime Next. Just in time to get the call about my VW. It was bad news to the core.... it was the news that they wouldn't take my card. For more info on that, please go to the topic in the Lounge. Though what that topic doesn't mention is the break down it caused me. I was really crying and having a hard time with the news. Esp seeing as how the party was coming up.... I didn't get back to the con yet, and I was having call after call from my mom trying to figure this all out. My head was going in circles.
I finally got my head together, and went to the con with Crittle, Mystic, Mily, and Onna as we passed out TMNT candy and told everyone that there was going to be a TMNT party that night in our room. After doing that we went up to our room to wait. I had everything set up, Onna handled setting up the DVD player and picking the DVDs. Mily stayed as long as she could, though she had to leave early since she was going on the bus. So I walked out with her (heh had my Raphael Monster Truck remote control car, come along with us zooming around outside.).
People came through out the night, some of which asked TMNT questions, others wanted the food (Mountain Dew was enjoyed by many), and some just sat around talking for some time to kill. Though as one group left, another group would show up. I didn't feel like we were being to loud, though around 11:30pm, we were told we had to close our party down. Shortly after that I went to sleep.
