Hiya all,
You guessed it, this one is about which movie is #1 to the fans....
TMNT 1 TMNT 2 TMNT 3
I'll add TMNT 4 to the poll after it's out. *G* Though for now, these are the choices. Once again, tell us why you choose your pick in the poll without bashing the other movies.
TMNT 4 has been added as TMNT CGI since it's not really seen as TMNT 4. If you already voted, but would like to make note that you now would of chose TMNT 4 please talk about it and discuss.

I choose TMNT 1 on this poll... here's why... The Turtles looked so real in that movie with the help of Jim Henson's creature shop. When I was younger I did not notice the fact that Leo didn't have legs below his knees at the beginning of the movie, I didn't see the face in Don's mouth, and as much as I looked at them it was hard to see the eye holes before learning where they saw through. Their skin, eyes, mouths, and shells looked so real even though I knew it was a costume. And Michaelangelo was so just cute! The story line, it was so different to me... Splinter was a rat...? At the time I didn't know of the comic. Though now I know it's a lot closer to the original story line. Shredder was creepy, you knew he was a threat. The Turtles going to the farm for down time, gave time for character growth on the Turtles, April and Casey. It was a good story line. The Jokes! They were great in that movie, and I still 15 years later quote them a lot! They were well thought up and coming from the mouths of the right Turtles that should be saying them. The Characters, in this movie each of the Turtles stayed the most in character. They were strong in their characters too... true Donny didn't get to be a tech in that movie though that's not all he is, and you got to see a bit more of how close Mikey and him are. Raph being with his temper, though still careing and loving his family... confused at how to handle it and Splinter realizing this and even talking to him about it. Leonardo being a leader, without trying and never saying he was the leader... though knowing what to do when needed. Michaelangelo being his fun loving self, but also showing how he doesn't want to think about the serious stuff.... wanting to keep his life easy and light. The movie had the best feel to me, it didn't feel too dark cause you still got to see the guys a bit and even got to see them outside at the farm. I felt the lighting was perfect for the movie. We got the song "Turtle Power" from this movie

I picked the first one too. But I think you should add extra options to the poll. Like:
- 1 & 2 - 1 & 3 - 2 & 3

TMNT 1 It was a nice break from the fluffy 80s cartoon, especially those of us who didn't even know the Mirage comics existed " lol. The costumes were the most realistic, and the actors were stellar!

Definitely the first movie. I loved it so much, I would watch it until I drove my parents crazy. I just couldn't get enough of it, especially of Leonardo.

While not as gritty and realistic as the first film, I thought "Secret of the Ooze" made a very nice attempt at showing the guys as teenagers. We actually got to see the turtles unwind and enjoy themselves instead of being so on-edge all the time. Even Raphael got the opportunity to relax alittle dispite the usual issues he would have with his brothers.
The costumes were pretty cool in this movie, and it seemed to make the guys look younger than they appeared in the previous film.

TMNT 1 remains -- even in 2005, even after Spider-man and Batman Begins -- one of the probably closest comic-book-to-movie adaptions there is, in my opinion. They took elements from the first Mirage comic, elements from Return to New York (#19-21) and kind of just ported that to the screen with minimal changes.
Yeah, April's not a news reporter and they don't have different colored bandannas in the comics, but they made a good show of it.

The first movie will always be THE TMNT movie to me, no matter what they come out with and how great it is. I can love others but it will be "the one". I was absolutely fascinated as a kid to see this newer edgier side to the Turtles rather than the perpetual silliness that was the cartoon show. Don't get me wrong I loved the cartoon but when I heard Raph swear my jaw hit the floor! And yes I'll admit I thought it was the coolest thing on earth, which I guess showed early on that I'd always love the darker side of the Turtles. I got the soundtrack to this movie for Christmas and played it to death! Then last year (I believe) I went nuts trying to find a cd copy and I still love it as much as I did back then! And um... I do want to throw out that I really do love the third movie as well, despite it being that TMNT movie that most people really don't like.

Wow. I can't believe I haven't voted or replied in this poll yet. Oh well, better late than never. Even though I honestly like all three, I chose #1 as my favorite. It was the darkest, closest to the comic, not quite as goofy as the other two. Goofiness is all fine and dandy(eep, save for Ninja Rap...*actually skips through that part now, doesn't know how she ever managed to stomach it to begin with...* ), but I dunno, there was something refreshing about the first movie that they have yet to recapture.

I'm votin' for TMNT 1 cuz that's the one I hold close to my heart and I have a lot of memories attached to it. The first movie is my favorite one and I liked how to took inspiration from the comics. Jim Henson really had his hands full to pull off such a great movie. I wonder if the fourth movie will be better than the first one. I hope the next movie is at least better than TMNT 3. The third movie was my least favorite. Casey Jones didn't really have much of a role for that one. TMNT 1 was the best movie of the trilogy IMHO.

I pick Movie 1 because this is the Raphael I love. (fangirl mode)*points to avvie* Look how cute he is showing off in his coat....he so cute!:P He's different in each movie, but this is the most Mirage Raph in a live action presentation. but I love the darkness, the realism - it is SO EASY to forget those are real guys in costumes. they move with a sort of lumbered grace. The technology was awesome. Elias was perfect as Casey, Judith was perfect for April. I was there in 1990, opening day to see TMNT 1. I was a Senior in High school.

#3 on balance, and please, bring the baps.
For one thing, I liked seeing Raphael's sensitive side: his scene where Yoshi tells him, "Tomorrow, you might die," was the one scene among all three movies that made me cry the most. Some of the jokes in there were actually funny, and yes, I too liked the ZZ Top opener.
I know I've said elsewhere that #3 was a good example of overdoing the humor, and I stand by that. I like the film itself: what I don't like was that it pretty much killed TMNT as a big-screen franchise for more than a decade. Had Three been a little less scattershot, we might not be talking about Four coming out some 14 years later. So while I liked it, Hollywood didn't, and that was that...for now.
3/30/07 can't get here soon enough.

I thought that the first movie was the most together of the the three. The mood seemed the closest to what it should be but it also lacked the sad case dance number which was off as well as the lame-o comedy that was in the third movie.

First movie was by far the best IMO. It combined the best aspects of the comics and the cartoon and blended them into a movie that was good for the younger set but could also be enjoyed by the older crowd too.

I like all of them, though the first one appealed most to me..I'm kind of wondering why Donnie was more goofy than articulate in those movies.he was better in the new one. I love Donnie in the comics and cartoons.

Well I voted the CGI. I found CGI much better then the Live Action ones.
Then again I tend to always favor CGI, though there are some new movies like Pirates Of The Caribbean : At World's End, and Spider Man 3 that I would like to watch.
p.s Sorry Michaelangelo didn't see this one.

Hell, I love 'em ALL for their own reasons.
TMNT CGI ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, I think it totally kicked @$$!!!!!!!!
TMNT 3 has always been my fave 'cause it's funny & I love Raph telling Yoshi to watch his temper - lol.
TMNT 1 'cause it's Awesome & was the first one & was really good.
TMNT 2 'cause it makes me laugh still & I like the pizza guy - haha. I watched this twice this weekend 'cause it was on Teletoon - you'd think I'd remember his name. Keno or something, wasn't it? Haha. I love him & Raph in this! Though, my Dad says they were lousy ninjas in this one - I agree. And they make Donnie seem kinda dumb at times.

I voted TMNT 1. I love it the most because everything about it is really great. I also love how it feels a lot like the original comic, while using some of the things that made the TV show great, like the humor.

I picked TMNT II, because that was the movie that had it's case still on the shelf of movies my family had. I didn't even know my family owned part one. I watched TMNT II a lot when I was little and pretty much knew every line to the movie. It had it's funny moments with the turtles. Even with the scientist. I also like it, because you learn about the Ooze and Master Splinter shows the canester in which made them who they were. The beginning of the movie is funny as well. When they first run into Keno. I like when the guys say, "Kids", and laugh. Master Splinter usually says that line.
Also, the dancing is fun to mimic. When they are dancing with the crowd. People aren't scared of them and think it was just all part of an act. It mixed in very well. Donatello got to at least show his smarts in the movie with scientist.

Not to be cliche and agree with the other 60 some percent of the votes, but obviously the first movie was the best. I love all of the TMNT movies but all are a bit of a step down from the first one...but hey...it would be nearly impossible to top it. It's the most serious and it's the closest to the comic book series, it's also the only movie out of all of them with a lot of true hand to hand combat and use of weapons, it's actually the only one that can really be identified as a martial arts film. This movie changed my life, there has been no other movie to ever come out in the history of my existence that has left an impression on me like this film. It's not just a fine piece of entertainment, it's a cinematic work of art. 'Nuff said!

Out of all of the movies, I have to say the first movie is my favorite. (And the most watched out of all of them) Plus I prefer April one as apposed to any other, and Casey Jones is a plus! Although I did like the CGI.

TMNT 1. No question. That movie was so ridiculous - I still watch it to this day and get excited. That was my Dark Knight.
I didn't mind how the movies got sillier, as we grew up and the franchised gained more speed - it was totally understandable.
(gotta have something for the kids to laugh at I guess)
I just hope that THEY remember who the real fans are - and keep it grimey.

TMNT movie 1. Just love it to pieces. Love the brothers' interaction, the squabbles and fights, the Father that Splinter is, the costumes, the acting, the brothers losing Splinter and the various reactions, the antagonist that the Shredder is (I do remember being slightly scared of him when I watched the movie for the first time), and the martial arts.

The second movie for me. I love the first and I like the CGI one. I was not too fond of the 3rd movie. I think it has something to do with one of them swallowing a frog and saying "I hope it wasn't an ancestor". There is just something nostalgic about the second movie. I think it is because even though the first movie was the first I saw the second is the one I first remember seeing.

Growing up...the second one was always my favorite. I found it to be more lighthearted and goofy[closer to 80s cartoon] than the first one. However...as the years have gone by and i've grown and rewatched them many many times. I am going to go with the first one. Never realized it when I was younger, but it too has some insane humor and very witty dialogue. Must say this though...growing up TMNT 3 was like...the most terrible thing ever. lol But after watching again for the first time all the way through in like...10 years or more, I enjoyed it. More than I thought I would. Still it's probably my least favorite of them all. And TMNT CGI...well...I know it was met with mixed emotions, and even I was dismayed when first hearing of it being CGI...but I loved that one too. Still...the original. Can't be beat in my eyes.
