Hey everyone,

This topic is for TMNT #1 which came out on May 5th, 1984 done by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.  This was the first thing ever to hit the market of the TMNT, and there for that date is an important date in TMNT history.

In this topic, people can review what they thought of the comic, what was their favorite scene in the comic, what was their least favorite scene... ect....  people can also type up if they have this comic or want it.

Now now, those of you going... but... I don't have the comic I haven't read it... well the offical Mirage site happens to have the full first issue of the comic up on their site.  So please feel free to take the time to read the first comic and give a review here when you're done.

Here is the link to TMNT #1 : http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/mirage/one/pg01.htm

Most comics we will not provide links for online to read, though since Mirage has put this up I find it ok to give out the link to their site.  Though I will always be a believer in owning copies of each of the comics, to show support to the comic.

Beyond this point you'll find spoilers and reviews.

In this issue we see the Turtles first fight against the Purple Dragons, learn how they became the mutants they are and learn the history of Splinter and his family.   This is also the issue where we meet the Shredder, and see him die.  So a lot happens in this one issue.

Please share your thoughts on it!

Figured I'd type up a review.

This issue will always be the classic to me, the source to look back to for some of the best TMNT.   This one comic holds the introductions, the back ground story, and the revenge.  Very well written.

This is by far my favorite back ground story of Saki.  There's so much growth and realizm to the idea of that dark past he went through, it's understanding and shows so much more to it than just someone saying some day "I'm going to be an evil super villain because I can."  Instead it a child out for revenge and his thoughts are twisted by others.  This will always be my favorite version of Shredder, when ever I do a fanfic, it'll always be based off the human we see in this one comic.

None of the Turtles really stood out to me in this issue, they all seemed as one as they fought side by side.  I didn't know of this comic until after I was already a fan though, so when reading it I wasn't trying to get to know the guys.  Though just trying to see where they really came from.

I highly recommend this comic for all the fans out there to give a try and see the heart that the Turtles truely came from.
