Concert!! - Neil Diamond

I just wanted to share that i'm going to see Neil Diamond tonight!!! I'm very excited about it, it's my first time seeing him in concert! My hubby is a big fan of his music and turned me onto it.

He may be getting up there in age but his voice is still excellant!

Alrighty! The concert was great! Niel may be getting up there in age, some songs were more of a spoken.sung instead of full singing, but he's still full of energy and is great at getting the crowd involved!

I had ear plugs with me, i'm very careful with my ears, and close to the end of the night, his ballads almost sung me to sleep. Then he started to hop around again and woke me back up! It was great!

Okay the night started off by us driving to gateway to ride the max down into Portland. We had to look for a place to eat because the one resturaunt we wanted to go to had an hour wait and the concert started in an hour. We found a place and ate good oriental food, then went back up for the concert.

We line up and get in, our seat are way up high so it's a little hard to see the people on stage but they have screen to show the stage people so not all was lost. The place was packed! Nice thing from our seats, not everyone jumped to their feet when Neil came onstage so we were able to sit back and relax the whole time.

I had to work at nine today, ugh! So my next two days off i'm gonna sleep, sing in chorus on monday then sleep some more.

Good to hear that you had a good time at the concert.

I love listening to music and live music takes things to a whole other level. Funny thing is that I've been to only 3 concerts in my life and they've all been within the last year or so.

My mom saw Neil Diamond in concert several years ago.  He put on a great show with laser effects and fireworks.  He performed "America," but I think he does that at all of his concerts.  I love that song and it's tradition for Fourth of July fireworks music to place a portion of that song into their program.  My dad used to play side 2 of "Neil Diamond: Tap Root Manuscript" a lot when I was about 5 years old.  I didn't know who Neil was, but I LOVED the African music!  Recently, or this year, I set out to find the CD and went to about four different stores looking for it.  Mom ended up getting it by calling a store in Oceanside and they had ONE copy left!  If you don't have this CD yet, I suggest you get it!
