OH man this is too funny Now many of you have heard of Donatello's in Toronto, and how a group of us went there a year ago and got to eat. Fae had a lot of NICE things to say about the place. Though we all found the name there funny... though now the humor goes beyond just the name... but the NAMES of the dinning rooms!!!! Here ya go guys... Michelangelo Donatello Raffaello and Leonardo!!!!! Think I'm kidding??? Well I'm not check out the link... http://www.donatellorestaurant.ca/rooms.htm Come on, I know that they're famous artist and so on... though still to ONLY use those four artist names... come on... the owner HAS to be a Ninja Turtle fan too, and just got that in there along with the artist theme! What do you guys think?

Considering the other great artists of the Renaissance that could have been selected for a grouping of room names? And Donatello was techincally not quite the same vintage as some of the others? uh huh. Probably done by a fan, or suggested to them by a fan? Would be sad if it was just "well I thought it would be cool to do that" and wasn't really a fan. Love the traditional spelling on Raphael.

I TOTALLY would eat at a place named after a character I love! As long as it wasn't some weird food I'd never heard of before. Lord help me if I ever find a "Dean's" resturant lol XD

Back during the first run of TMNT popularity, we had a Raphael's & a Leonardo's Pizza. (Raphael's even used the character as part of the logo - I suspect without getting permission)
Both have since gone by the wayside...didn't get a chance to try either.
Ouch! Just looked at the Donatello's website. Definitely not a cheap place to eat...

There's a fine hotel in San Fran called the Donatello. Yes, there are other people with that name. There's also the feminine form, Donatella, and Rafaella. Haven't seen a Leonarda or a Michelangela yet, though. And Aignatius is not all that uncommon a name in Greece, from what I understand, though more commonly it's spelled Agnatius

I would most certainly want to eat at a restaurant named after my favorite TMNT character...and yes, the Renaissance artist, too! But, then I should take caution of what to expect, how good is the food, how much will it cost, and so on. That's hilarious about the dining room names, though. The owner is obviously a TMNT fan, at least it sounds that way!

Leo would be the bartender and can tell patrons, "Okay, you're cut off." "But I've only had one!" "Then that's enough for you."

And when Leo says you're cut off, he means it! How many patrons are going to argue with a katana waving in their face.

Would be sad if it was just "well I thought it would be cool to do that" and wasn't really a fan. I just hope the owner has a sense of humor about the whole TMNT fad. I've heard of renaissance buffs who hate the TMNT for using those artists' names. Kinda sad when people get all uptight over it. But anyway, you think each room would have their designated namesake's artwork up on the walls, wouldn't they? I once went to Biltmore Estates in North Carolina and there was a Raphael Room that was said to be decorated with artwork from the artist.
