Spoiler!Hey everyone, durning the repeat time we can do reviews of episoides that aired before the TMNT-L forum was brought together.
This episoide is one of the most well known Donatello episoides out there, it's also the only episoide that we've seen them go in and CHANGE the ending! To make Peter Laird happy, he wasn't happy with where it ended originally. So he got in there and had them change it.... the ony way to find the ORIGINAL ending of the episoide is by finding someone who has it on tape.
In this episoide Donatello goes down to fix the water Heater at the "Second Time Around" shop and meets the new person who's living down there, Kirby. Kirby (played by Mike Pollock) is an artist with a magical pen and when he draws something it comes to life for a few minutes than disappears. Donatello gives it a try with a stick person... and is highly amused.
Kirby shows Donatello a portal that he drew which never disappeared, and when Don realized you can go through it he had to check it out. Only to find that everything that Kirby did a drawing of, was alive in this other world. And there was about to be a huge war between a town of people in the world and monsters that was drawn. So Don and Kirby join the good fight.
This issue STRONGLY reflects the comic it was drawn from, which is "Donatello" (will link this to the right comic when it has a topic *G*)
Please talk about this episoide, what did you like... what you didn't like... ect.... anything you would of changed and do you think they should of gave the option for both endings on the DVD? Are you surprised that Peter Laird would jump in and have them change it, cause the ending didn't go where he wanted it to?
