And I feel so bad for my poor Camry.  He got nailed in the right front fender, in a 4-way stop, when a dimwit failed to yeild.  I'm thinking I'm not at fault, since I assumed I had right of way.  However, I still feel so guilty for not being a wary defensive driver.  *sigh*  At least I didn't have the baby with me, and I wasn't hurt.

But...

The fact that this was the SECOND major accident I had in that car, whilest it had not a single accident by the previous owner, really makes me feel like crap.  That, and I've been in countless other little rear-enders and fender benders that were a mix of my fault and not.  It just makes me feel like such a hopelessly careless person.  -_-

Rotten luck, to have to deal with that.  People can be so inattentive, out there... hopefully the damage will get covered by your insurance, though.

Wanted to add, I was pushing my car out of the driveway tonight, because I'd misplaced the keys and decided to move it to use the other car. I'd started pushing it, and when it started to move, I then got in to let it coast down the end of the driveway to go across the street into a cul de sac. Trouble is, I was looking the other direction for any oncoming cars, and didn't notice my driver door was still open enough to get caught on the bush at the end of the driveway. Before I could put on the brake, the door got sprung, and the car was stuck.
Fortunately my daughter had found the car key so I was able to start the car to drive it forward, to free it from the bush. What a relief...
Argh... door's out of alignment, and I have to slam it to get it to latch shut. I'll have to look at the door tomorrow to see what adjustment it needs.

Hello dingbat, close the door all the way when backing the car out, next time...  Bang Head  Rolling Eyes

Heh... that reminds me of the time I worked at Stone Ridge Arabians, and I parked the tractor on the hill.  But being new to stick-shifts, like that tractor, I had left it in nuetral.  It then rolled a few feet down the hill, into a sturdy tree.  Thankgoodness for that tree, cause it would have been a little messy trying to get it out of the small ravine instead!   Happy/Smile (Anime Style)

Hmm. to reintereate my accident-proneness, I was walking toward the exit in the warehouse last night when a rookie forklift nearly clipped me.  This was in a nuetral area, where walkers anf forklifts mingle.  And usually, the FL operators have an eye out for us, and us for them.

That is, unless you got some rookie starting out.  In the split second I cleared the palatte on her fork lift, she started to back up.  Obviously without honking first, or looking around.  The guy spotting her also yapped at her to hook up (they  wear these harnesses that are clipped to a strap on the lift for safety).  Yes, she was also muttering nervously under her breath for being so out of wack too.  Nearly backing up her business end of the lift into me, and then forgettin to hook up.  Gah...  why is it I'm always in the wrong place, the wrong time?  Confused

Still waiting to hear what the verdict is for my car.

Good luck with the car, Don!
Sounds like it would be a bad thing to put you and Leah together....yeah. That would be a bad thing.

Accidental things happen to everyone, it's just some have a...err...talent for it?
("Talent" makes it sound better.)

May everyone stay clear of more accidents for some time to come!
(And I know that's wishful thinking. Deal with it.  Razz  )

I'm just glad to hear you're okay, HT/Don, especially keeping in mind that you're a mommy now!

You can be the best driver in the world, but sadly, there are too many BAD drivers out there who will make one silly mistake and cause serious injury or take a life.

I'm glad you're ok, too! Don't feel too bad~
