Over all a funny episode and I work with people that are all completely obsessed with wrestling, which just added to the amusment value for me.

I was a little disapointed that the three headed guy was able to throw the Turtles around with such ease, it seems like all the fighting skill they have learned in the last few seasons has been forgotten.

And Raphael said cowabunga... I thought he hated when Mikey said that  Neutral

Fast Forward is a mixed bag... its really funny and I enjoy the humor and watching the guys face silly situtations, but at the same time, I feel this is causing the characters to somewhat get out of character which is kind of disapointing.

It focused a lot on Leo and Raph today, but I actually thought this was pretty interesting to watch.  At first, I was wondering how two turtles were actually going to be able to take on Triple Threat, with the body being much larger than both of the Turtles put together.  But when the two turtles worked together, they were able to defeat villain and retreive the wrestling belt (award) that was stolen from one of the wrestlers as well as the money that was stolen.

The announcer following them outside to the city where the fight continued was pretty wierd, though, but you do kind-of have to almost laugh at that...I thought it was pretty humorous.

My favorite part had to be the part where everyone was clapping, but that the cheering in the future was much different than how it's done in the present.  I really liked it when Raph was like, 'booooring!' because there wasn't hardly any action going on inside the ring, except that one of two wrestlers was waiting for the opportune moment to make their move.

I know there probably could've been a little more humor/action in it that might have made this one a little better, but I give it overall a decent 8 out of 10 for today.

And there's another new episode next week that looks even better!  I'm already ready for next weekend.

I thought this was a very cute episode (especially since my sister is a wrestling fan, so I took ample opprotunity to tease her about it - and vice versa)

I sympathized a bit with poor Raph because as much as I dislike pro wrestling I felt badly that it wasn't living up to his expectations Wink  After finally being able to get out and actually go to an event it's nothing like he was hoping.

I actually missed the explaination of why Leo agreed to go with Raph (I got a phone call which ended just as the commercials started - figures  Confused )

I figured Leo was just being nice and brotherly and decided to go with Raph  because Raph wanted to go so badly. Which I thought was very cute - it was nice seeing them head out and just try do 'brotherly bonding" stuff.

My sister called right as the darn show began!!!!

But Leo went because Splinter wanted someone to make sure that Raph kept out of trouble.

Not a bad episode.  I still miss the old series.  But at least there was no "It's NINJA TIME!"!!  That has got to be a plus.

It could have been a lot worse than it was, but I wasn't that impressed with it.

That RoboShamus has got to go.

Mikey's eye-bugging bit was about as out of place as fishnets at a funeral.

Raph finally got some quantity screen time, and no "It's Ninja Time" is a step in the right direction as well.

I guess half a loaf is better than starving, but this season's TMNT are starting to look like last sseason's Washington Capitals.  And that's NOT intended as a compliment.

The Caps, at least, are now rebuilding, with solid goaltending and a bona fide superstar in Alex Ovechkin.  But unless TMNTFF has a terrific season in the ratings, there might not BE any rebuilding for this series.  I hope for the best, but what I've seen of FF so far is looking less and less promising as more episodes air.  We'll see if that trend breaks next week...

*siiigh*  I just don't know.  It didn't do that much for me.  Perhaps it's because I'm not a fan of wrestling.  I was actually bored with it in parts.  And the guys getting thrown around like that was painful to watch.  Leo hit those stands like two times!  And a car crashing down upon Raph?  Poor guys!  The announcer guy was incredibly annoying; I wish Leo and Raph threw him or did something to shut him up!  I would have laughed at that!

Guess I was bummed because it needed more Donatello.  MUCH more Donatello.... Wink

This episoide is 50/50 for me, I gotta agree with some people... the Turtles should be able to beat that stupid three headed threat.  He's not much of a real fighter, and the Turtles should be able to handle him, without the need of their weapons.  This is not the first time the lack of weapons made a difference in their fighting and I don't care for that at all.   Raph deff should of been able to take this fight one on one (or is that three since it's got three heads?).

Now I can totally understand where Raph is coming from.  A crowd makes a show as well, and the crowd being so blah... along with the action in the ring.. it's a show I'd be making a fuss at too.   I loved it that Raph didn't settle down, though I don't see why he'd get in the ring after the other two were defeated, the show he paid to see well... per say is over.  He didn't go there to be part of the fight.  Esp if he thought it was fake.

I was happy to see a Raph centered episoide, and it seems to go along the same lines as it has been for him.  He's not a fan of the future.

I was also a bit surprised to hear "Cowabunga" come out of his mouth.... if Mike was around, Raph would of never heard the end of it.   Have you guys ever had one of those moments where you say something that you hear someone else say often... you're not that big of a fan of it, and when you realize you say it... you're bapping yourself?   I know I have.  That's what I'll credit the "Cowabunga" too for now.  Raph was caught in the moment.

I'm another fan who is still sighing over the matter but WILL accept that it might be this way from now on so might as well enjoy it!
Anyways, this was a cute episode and Raphael got to shine. Ok, so he said, "Cowabunga!" - give him a break! Wink He finally got a bit of freedom and who knows? Maybe Raphael is a lot like Mikey when he's not so stressed.

I wasn't a member here when this episode first aired...so now I can rate it.  I'm very happy to see Raph be the center of attention...but I felt so bad for him!  He was so excited about this match and everything kept going wrong.   Crying/Very Sad   I mean...cut the poor guy a break!

I was also very happy that the new "It's Ninja Time!" motto thing wasn't yelled out this episode.  I'm a loyal and faithful fan...but that catch phrase is just too tacky!  Raph yelling out "Cowabunga"...now that made me do a double take.   Confused   He was either VERY caught up in the moment and happy...or on drugs.  He hates it when Mikey says cowabunga!

Finally...that (insert profanity here) announcer!!   Mad   GAH!  Mad!!!!!!!  Everytime he started to speak I just wanted to pull my hair out!!  Frog man?  Lizard man?  Salamander man?!?!  COME ON!!  Is he BLIND!?!  He was keen to point out each and every technique and move the wrestlers made...yet he couldn't see the big shells on the Turtle's backs!?  That was just sad and annoying.

Overall...I liked the episode because Raph was the center of attention!   Love

I have to say, I have at least two favorite parts of this.

1-- Raph's and Splinter's scenes-- both in the opening, and at the ending, I really liked the (too brief) father/son moments of this episode-- Raph's frustration at his brothers with their reluctance to OPENLY explore this "new world"-- and Splinter's gentle admonitions about exploring the "inner" self.

2-- Leo's being the one to go with him, trying to let Raph have fun, yet having a hard time NOT saying "I told you so" to stuff-- and yet quick to join in when his brother was in trouble (but only when Raph asked for it-- hmm... kind of sadistic of Leo, eh?).

The announcer was like a replay of the one for "Across the Universe" or whatever that episode was called-- you know, when Raph was involved with the Planet Racers... and I did find the fact that wrestling in the future was so MILD and like a ballet-- LOL-- but at the same time, the guys were lame fighting/wise-- I mean RAPH WAS CAUGHT THREE TIMES by the leg and swung into someone/something!  Raph is too smart to get caught TWICE like that, much less THREE TIMES!!!!

Still...

Not a BAD episode-- just not good enough.

Maybe it's because I don't like wrestling but I didn't like this episode a whole lot.  It was sweet of Leo to go with Raph and it was nice that Raph got the spot light...FINALLY!  I just didn't like the whole "Let's forget everything we learned in the previous season and jump into this like we would have in season one of the 4Kids series!"

I did like the begining and ending scenes with Splinter and Raph but other than that and the fact that there was no "ninja time" battle cry, I didn't find much that I liked about this episode.

Synopsis:

Intro: Open on Cody’s penthouse roof where Master Splinter is building a garden and Raphael stands dejectedly overlooking the city. The Sensei asks his son what is troubling him and Raph explains that he's frustrated by his brothers' behavior. For the first time in their lives, they're finally able to walk around in public without any worries and all Leo, Don and Mike want to do is hang out inside the penthouse. Splinter tries to console his student by pointing out that it is equally important to explore the inner landscape. Just then an advertising blimp floats past promoting a galactic wrestling match. Raph is elated and decides that this is exactly what he needs to see.

Act 1: Open in Cody's penthouse, where Mike is giving Cody some lessons in throwing technique. Serling complains about the mess and worries that teaching the boy to fight will only create trouble. Mikey points out that they're training Cody to be prepared for any problems that may arise.

An excited Raphael runs into the penthouse and tells his brothers about the upcoming galactic wrestling match. Unfortunately none of the others are interested in going. Raph storms off to go alone and Splinter suggests that someone should accompany him to keep him out of trouble. Leonardo agrees to go.

Meanwhile, a three-headed ex-wrestler named Triple Threat has broken into Madison Square Garden and has been discovered by a security guard. The giant cracks his three necks and closes in on the frightened guard...

Act 2: Open as Leo and Raph arrive at Madison Square Garden and buy their tickets using a credit stick that Cody gave them. With tickets in hand, the teens find their seats. Raphael tries to order some typical stadium food but disappointedly discovers that none of it is available in the future. The match begins and we discover that wrestling has changed dramatically and is now more like golf than any type of brute force competition. All of the old moves are illegal and Raphael begins to get bored. Raph cheers and jeers, but the crowd around him motions for him to be quiet. Finally reaching the end of his limited patience, the ninja walks to the ring and heckles the wrestlers. Leonardo tries to get Raphael to return to his seat to no avail. Suddenly, Triple Threat enters the ring and begins to pummel the two contenders. Raphael is immediately perked up and begins cheering from ringside. Triple Threat easily defeats his opponents using the moves that got him banned from wrestling (the event that has given him reason to turn rogue). Raph, thinking this is all a show, jumps into the ring for some fun. The Turtles soon discover that this is not an act as the audience flees the Garden in terror. The only ones left inside are the two defeated wrestlers, Leo, Raph and Triple Threat. Triple Threat attacks Raphael and easily out-powers his diminutive opponent. Leo tries to intervene but is just as easily smashed out of the ring. The evil wrestler than activates a series of lasers that build a cage around the ring and Leo is unable to do anything to help his brother!

Act 3: As Raph avoids the crazed wrestler, Leo destroys the laser barricade and jumps into the ring. Triple Threat throws Raphael into Leo, sending them both flying into the seats. The giant grappler then leaps out of the ring and takes the championship belt from the unconscious wrestler. Triple Threat then leaves the arena and breaks into the box office and steals the cash register. The villain then hits the street and escapes on a big wheel. Leo and Raph jump into a cab and chase their foe. Raph leaps onto the big wheel from the cab and jams his sai into its controls and bails out. Triple Threat loses control and crashes the vehicle. Raph and Triple Threat then face each other on the street for a rematch!

Act 4: Triple Threat smashes Raphael into a car. Raph recovers and gets the upper hand, but is distracted by people cheering in the streets. Leo tries to warn his brother, but it's to late and Triple Threat squashes Raphael with a car. Leonardo pulls Raphael to safety and the two team up and finish off Triple Threat by knocking all three of his heads together. Raphael takes the championship belt from his foe and holds it over his head as the crowd roars as the cameras broadcast it on TV.

Sirens sound and Constable Biggles and the police arrive. As usual, Biggles begins to take credit for mopping up the villain - Raph protests, but the robocop begins to find things to site him for. Seeing no alternative, Raph and Leo hop into the wheel and speed off towards home.

Back at the penthouse, Raph joins Splinter on the rooftop garden. Splinter asks how the event went and Raph said it was no big deal. Just then, the advertising blimp floats by showing the footage from the street fight between Triple Threat and Raph. Splinter eyes his son and remarks about it being "no big deal."
