Hey everyone,
Sunday was a lot different for me than Saturday was. Shingami was outside waiting for me when I arived at the convention. Than we went in, she registered and looked at the shedual... at this time, there was no updated Sunday shedual... though the people at the register table did say that they were going to have one, and Cam will have a panel and autograph time that day.
The Dealer room didn't open till around 9:30am, so Shing and I sat around talking. I tried showing her what I brought with me, which was a LOT of stuff. Though she was very hyper and distracted a lot at that time. Totally understandable, we haven't seen each other for 2 1/2 years. We were sitting right outside the dealer room, so when I saw people I met the day before, I'd say hello.

Hopefully one of the dealers will get a chance to join TMNT-L

She's totally cool and a TMNT fan!
Once the dealer room opened, I went in with a goal... to buy at least ONE item from every booth in the dealer room.. all Five of them. I spent time talking with people.. informing people of Turtle Con 2009 and the new TMNT movie. I had my Sneek peek book that Brinatello got me from San D con, so I could show people. Everyone seems excited about the art work for the movie. I got the Sunday updated shedual... on the front of it, it mentioned that Cam Clarke and Greg Finley will be having a panel and autograph session at 1:30pm on the main stage. I bought some FMA trading cards and sat down in third roll in the main stage room, and sorted my cards. While sitting there I also set up my camera to video tape the stage, and started to flip through the shedual to see what else was going to be in this room.... hmm up next is the Anime Dating game, than comes... "Who's line is it Anime"... though I blinked a few times, after that was... Chibi cookies! wait... that'd be 1:30pm... the guest were suppose to be in this room.
So I stayed in the room, very very worried about where the guest were going to be. A clashing shedual did not make me feel any better about this. Though I figured I'd enjoy myself with the panels that were going to go on in there, and see to what ever is going on when it comes down to it. Shingami went off to a plushie workshop while I was still in the dealer room, so I was alone for the most part. Though people did come in and talk to me here and there before the first panel started... esp seeing all the TMNT stuff set up around my camera.
First came the "Anime Dating game" I think it would of been funny if they did it a little different, like the person playing the one getting a date REALLY didn't know who was on the other side of the stage and couldn't see through the holes in the devider they used. Another thing that would of made it funny was if they not only had to choose who they wanted, but they also had to name what anime character it was they were picking. Though the panel was funny, and had me laugh a bit... esp when Yuki from "Gravaition came up on stage as the one getting a date. That was funny, esp since they were all girls (well some where guys cos playing girls... but they were staying in cosplay character). And he kept calling them guys. (Anyone who doesn't know Gravaition... well, um, do a search on this if you don't get what I'm hinting at there. *G*).
There was an hour long break between panels after this panel was done, though I remained in my area. I talked to some FMA fans, I found it interesting that they were dressed up like the movie versions of FMA... though they never saw the movie. They want to finish the series first, I told them that is a very smart move. I think their mom was a bit freaked out at how much into my fandom I am with TMNT stuff just hanging all over my tripod and stuff

The young girl (who was dressed like she was a mistake from Lab 5 (a mutant basically for those who don't know what Lab 5 is)), thought that Leonardo was my favorite Turtle since I had him hanging all over my stuff in there. I did correct her and say "No, though the voice actor who played him is here" and will be doing a panel here later.
They wandered off by time the next panel started... this one wanted Volunteers... Shingami arives for this one, with her doll in hand. She decided to stick around for the panel. Well anyone who knows "Who's line is it anyway" basically gets the idea of what "Who Line is it Anime" is... though I think the guy who ran it could of came up with a few better ideas on what to guess or have people act as, and gave it in too fast... like in the real game, if a person guesses one word of what ever it is, they normally get a clue that they're on the right track... but they don't get told "They got it" already. There was a lot funny stuff that happened durning this panel though, with people enjoying the stage life.
Shingami got up there for one where you had to be a Super Hero and there was some kind of trouble happening at "Another Anime Con", and this super hero needed help from other super heros to fix the problem. Shing got to be the lead Super Hero, and with that spot got to give all of the other Super Hero their Super Hero names. First we had to come up what was wrong at the convention... I yelled up "Pocky shortage" since there really was one at this convention!!! There was NO Pocky for sale in the dealer room!!!! They took the idea of shortage, but decided to use Yaoi (if you don't know, don't ask

) instead.
So Shing named the first hero, "Empty Stomac guy" (which is so true, it's someone playing Son Goku from "Sakiyuki" who is always HUNGRY). And she mentions that she needs help finding the Yaoi... of course Goku's first question is "Yaoi... what's that? Can you eat it?" Which got the crowd rolling in laughter. Goku wanted food and was sent to search the Vending machines... though Goku than realized that he's got no money.... and asked Shing for money. Shing didn't have any money, though one of the other heros ran onto stage with some money. This one Shing named "Girl who wears sparking things" They convince her to help find Yaoi... than the last one came on stage and it was Vending Machine boy... and they were acting like he was a real vending machine... though they didn't get their Yaoi through it. After they were done with their skit they ran off the stage... I watched Shingami go into a roll, thinking it was part of her super hero act I was greatly amused by it, than went back to watching as the next skit started.
Shingami sat next to me, than leaned over and said she was going to get ice.... that roll was really a trip, though she made it look good, her left upper arm got bursed. I also volunteered for one of the things, up on stage, before this panel was over.
As soon as the panel was done everyone got up and left.... but... it's now 1:30... where is the people coming to see the VAs? Where is the VAs? I got a bit worried... am I going to some how miss out on meeting Cam again? My friend who runs the dealer booth peeked in, to see if the panel was started yet... than she went out to find out what's going on. Out in the hall is Greg, well after she steps out there she comes back into the room and tells me that Greg also worked for TMNT!! So I went out into the hall to meet him.
I gave him a Turtle Con flyers and talked with him a bit, his name is not in the credits of anything. Though he did work on the movies as a back ground voice actor, filling in noises for Foot soliders, speakers and other such things that needed to be filled in. If I knew that someone who worked on the movie was going to be there, I would of brought my movie dvd cover to be signed, though he was nice and signed my Turtle T-Shirt for me. (Going to have to take a recent picture of that shirt).
Cam came over while I was talking to Greg, and he showed Cam the flyer for Turtle Con. I started to talk with him... found myself speechless for a second there (I don't normally get like that with VAs, I know so many and they're such cool people.). I told him I'll see him in the panel room, and went back in to sit down.... though some of the con staff got Cam to come in their office over outside of the panel room having him sign stuff. (They should've had that done at another time, since he was already late to his panel).
I ended up going back out in the hall and talking a little bit more with Greg, till we came into the room for the panel, at that point I got to start talking with Cam about the tour Turtle stuff, like the fact that he got that gig because they came to him to do it.... he was friends with one of the main guys behind it (surprised they didn't go to the other turtles as well for it...). He was about in shock when he saw pictures of my room... he even called Greg over to look at the pictures. He signed a few things for me than.
The panel ended up being in a circle setting, a much more personal setting with the guests which I've seen done a few other times, though doesn't make for good video since there's no mic or center focus. Durning this panel people were coming in to get pictures of Cam (found out later it was part of a hunt they had going on, you had to get a picture of Cam.). We got to hear many stories from both Greg and Cam, Cam talking about how people use to have them talk to their kids on the phones... and how it would be odd when doing a bad guy... he did a very quiet thing of Rocksteady saying something along the lines of "Hope yous get better soon kid".
Cam also talked about how he was in line for the original movie and figured he'd let the kid next to him know who he was. In Leonardo's voice he said "Hey I'm Leonardo" and the kid replied fastly "Right and I'm Donatello"... totally caught Cam off guard, now he doesn't do the voices in front of kids, though will do it on the phone. Though really his voice sounds a lot like Leonardo's voice.
Another story he talked about, was something I heard sort of before hand... that Cam and Townsend were both trying to get the role of Michaelangelo. Though when the choices was being made the voice director was changed and it just stuck with Townsend being Michaelangelo. And Cam was a little jealous of that, amitting that Townsend made the most because of side gigs and stuff. He didn't really feel right being the hero type, that Leonardo was... and it took him a bit to be able to really settle into that role. He perfers playing villains.
After the panel they took pictures with people, signed more autographs... than Cam had to go get offical pictures taken... after that was done he came back over and signed a few things for me. He also asked to keep a couple pictures of me in my room, so I let him have them. I also gave him a Turtle Con 2000 bag, with stuff like the Turtle Fans Unite NewLetters, a Turtle Con 2000 T-Shirt, mouse pad, and buttons. He also got a Turtle Con 2009 Flyer, so here's hoping that he will be a guest for that convention. I did get the chance to invite Cam to come here to TMNT-L, not sure if he'll take the chance too or not.
After he left, was the closing panel where they asked what they did wrong and right... the thing that everyone seem to have problems with was the shedual... though not bad for a first year con, planned with only 4 months.
After the convention came the roadtrip that Shing and I did to Northampton. (Shingami is a lot like Raphael, so we had a lot of jokes about Raphael and Michaelangelo doing a road trip together. )
