I will hope this woman has better credentials than Irma, so in this case, let's hope it's not life imitating art! Could you imagine Irma in politics??? Then again, maybe Irma would do better than most of the choices we get to vote for....

She must know! How could she not? Hmmmm. This gives me an idea. No, on second thought...maybe someone has already broached the subject.....I mean, how could you have a name like that and not have been asked? Then again.....*smiles and continues to groom tail*

You'd be surprised... though likely she's been also compared to the sculptor/architect of the early Renaissance period. Ha! I wouldn't know how to broach the subject in an email, without being passed off as a heckler. Erm... gah. By the way... Ninjara, is that a flea comb you're using there? *runs and ducks behind couch*

Why, how dare......really Aignatius......I thought you were a gentlemanly sort of dragon. I didn't think of the term 'lounge lizard' until now. Flea comb......indeed. *casts a sideways glance toward the back of the couch where Aig is hiding*

If you really want to know, the primary contender against the incumbent governor is a Democrat named Phil Angelides. So, you have a Tello and an Angelides-o running against the, you know, Governator. Life is indeed strange...

wrong coast? Hey Mikey, c'mere, I'm going to bap you! This Turtle happens to like life on the west coast. Great parks to hike, great seafood, don't have to worry about freezing one's toes off in the winter (like we don't have a lot of toes to lose, after all....)

...and that song was first introduced, apparently, in the movie of the same name...sung by, surprise surprise, Liza Minelli. Sinatra did it two years later, in 1979. Why, yes, I spent last night playing Trivial Pursuit...why do you ask?

New York New York... THat song is awesome. I heard it on the music system at the supermarket the day after 9/11, the version Frank Sinatra sang, and I cried all over the tomatoes. I still feel very emotional when I hear it. In many ways, NYC is my home town. Fourth generation New Yorker. But I can never go back, I have an unpaid parking ticket. You should never owe the state of New York anything. They will send people out to break your kneecaps. As far as governor, I am not sure about Angelides, He seems too much like Gray Davis. He just sort of lies there. Why can't the Democrats have some sort of personality?

I've gotta add a new disclaimer at the end of my posts... 'If you see two or more smileys in my posts, it's most likely not to be taken seriously. Please do not tell me I need to take a deep breath and get some fresh air '

Yeah, I know. But it's happened with meant to be light posts on other message boards alot latley too, and unintentionally getting people reved up is annoying . I didn't think the B word was a swear one. The B with 5 letters, sure, but that one?

Yeah, I know. But it's happened with meant to be light posts on other message boards alot latley too, Heh well this isn't other message boards is it? TMNT-L always had the no swearing rule attached, you know that more than anyone. And I do agree with PG about being careful with these type of topics. This topic here isn't meant to be taken serious as it is, because we're getting a laugh with Dona Tello name being used. Though taking the jokes to picking on all politic stuff... takes this topic in a direction people may not like, esp using a swear word in the line.
