This episode is  "Tales of Leo ", can be found on the DVD/VHS  "Shredder Strikes Back" and on Season 1 Part 2 DVD 1.

In the 4Kids Show we will be posting spoilers about the show. From our favourite scenes, to what happened to what characters and what mistakes did you catch in the show? So if you're not one for spoilers and have not seen this one yet, don't read it.

Starting now, on Wednesdays a different episode will be posted up till Saturday.  This will give us two episode topics a week, instead of just one.  Happy/Smile  Hope people like this idea.

In this episode Leonardo is out of it and his brothers are hoping that hearing their voices would bring him back.   Each of them tell their stories from their childhood with Leo, Don and the race car, Raph and the gator, and Mike with the onion.  We even get a story from Splinter, about Leo with a fear of hights.

Meanwhile Shredder has ordered the Foot, to search the building for the remains of the Turtles.  Baxter says he can prove the Turtles died in that fire, but when he realizes he can't... he makes it look like they did so that he's not punished.  So now Shredder believes the Turtles to be dead.

My favorite back story and part of the episode would have to be Michelangelo's, when he's telling about how he tried to get Leo's attention.  That story still has me laughing to this day.  Happy/Smile  It was well done, and our first time seeing the Toddler Turtles!!!

This was a GREAT episode if you asked me, and it didn't even have a villain attack the guys in it.

Please talk about this episoide, what did you like... what you didn't like... ect.... anything you would of changed

That's something 4Kids has shown of Raph a few times - he seems to have a very strong sense of family. He was the one to get the most visibly upset about Leo in this episode...and when Leo comes back from being with the Ancient One, Raph was the one that was the most upset over the fact that the family had been separated and that he couldn't find the others.

I LOVED this episode.  I have to say the guys as kids was just a cute twist.  It also made Leo seem VERY human.  The whole fear of heights thing is something that many of us (myself included) can relate to and it also gives that little bit of hope saying "yes, you can get over that fear if you don't pay attention to the height that you're at."  It was very touching and adorible.

And they say Raph's got emotional problems...HAH! He's so much more in touch with them than anybody else if ya ask me. He feels them stronger and they make a HUGE impact on him, his behavior and all that. IMO, he's the most sensitive out of them all.

It was nice to see the flashbacks with each of the brothers.  Raph, naturally, the "leader" into trouble-- but not untrue to any of the characters.

Leo:  Might I offer a suggestion?

Raph:  NO!  I've got him right where I want him!

*Yes-- not the exact quotes, but you get the idea!*

This one, like the previous two, made me cry, but it was even more emotional for me. The first time I watched it when I didn't know he was going to make it, I was a heartbreaking mess. I was seeing Leo literally on his death bed.

The whole triology still brings tears to my eyes, but it hasn't been the soaking waterworks like the first few times, even when I did know he recovered in the end. I would just literally sob, and I would try so hard not to by putting my fist in my mouth. It never worked. All I ended up with was a sore jaw, and teeth marks along with drowning in a pool of tears a la Alice In Wonderland. Razz  Happy/Smile (Anime Style)

Yeah, one might say I'm sensitive about this kind of stuff.

"Tales of Leo" was my first taste of Turtle Tots...

I had seen bits of "The Shredder Strikes" and became aware that there was a NEW Turtle show via Cartoon Network-- then, while reading the TV Guide about the next Sunday's block of toons (back when CN would run like two hours of a show), I read about "The Shredder Strikes Back" parts one and two, as well as "Tales of Leo"-- the words "drifting in and out of consciousness" clued me to just how serious this new toon was!

So I tuned in for pts one and two, and of course "Tales of Leo"--

*BLINK!*

Dang, the entire story arc was like WOW!  But the "Tales" part was so cool-- Turtles as KIDS??????

YEARS ago in the very early 90s I had toyed with the idea of submitting a story to Mirage's "Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" about Leo as a kid...  like we all toyed with such ideas.  And HERE was a tv show where we got to see all four turtles as lil' kiddies!

This was better than flashback stuff.  I liked this episode, though there are those who felt the animation was lacking compared to "TSSB" parts one and two, among other moanings and groanings..

And it was yet another story that got me writing again (for myself-- MUCH of what I wrote back then still is just for my eyes only!)!

Ah... nice episode!

I totally adored this episode. I loved seeing the Turtles as kids. My fave story was Raph's and seeing Raph tear up over Leo was awesome. It shows that he truly loves Leo and cares about him. After watching this on DVD one day, it gave me inspiration to write a follow-up to this episode, which I have done. I really enjoyed getting into Leo's head in the story. This ep was totally awesome and showed that even Leo has fears. 10/10 from me.

Made this topic into a poll, so people can rate it at the star they think this episode deserves. Happy/Smile Will be doing each episode like this, one at a time.

Also added another DVD which it can be found on.

I gave this episode a 5 star, I can't help but love the Toddler Turtle stories.

Intro: In a variety of quick cuts, the Shredder describes the happenings in Parts 1 and 2 of “The Shredder Strikes Back”, leading up to the cliffhanger ending of Part 2.

The four Turtles, Splinter, April and Casey are all trapped in an old walk-in cooler, as April’s apartment building burns. Shredder and the Foot have left the scene, due to the arrival of the New York police department. However, New York’s finest have arrived too late to stop the inferno, and it looks like our heroes will go up in smoke with the building! Fortunately, April suddenly remembers that the motor that used to power the cooler was removed a few years back, leaving a hole in the exterior wall.

Raph moves some boxes out of the way and finds a flimsily installed patch over the old motor opening. He quickly pries the patch off, and they all crawl through the opening into the adjoining alley. Once they pull the unconscious Leo outside, the crew beats a hasty retreat away from the fire. The group watches as the building explodes into flame. With Leo to care for, the Turtles and Splinter don’t know what to do next. April’s place has burned to the ground and it’s still too dangerous to return to the lair. Just when all hope seems lost, Casey comes up with an idea and he offers to take everyone to his Grandma’s old farm in Western Massachusetts. No one will find or bother them there.

Master Splinter and the Turtles, including the unconscious Leo, huddle in a U-Haul trailer attached to Casey’s old ’57 Chevy. It’s freezing out as they leave the city, and it only gets colder as they head north to Massachusetts. When our heroes finally arrive at the dilapidated farm, the Turtles are almost frozen solid and Leo is in real bad shape. Casey and April get a fire going in the fireplace ASAP as Leo is placed on a couch and covered with a heavy blanket. Gradually everyone warms up, but Leonardo remains, more or less, in a coma.

Meanwhile, in the city, Saki wants proof that the Turtles really perished in the fire. Baxter Stockman agrees to use a device of his creation to get hard DNA evidence, if Shredder will allow him to study Shredder’s mysterious exoskeleton once the proof of the TMNT's demise is presented. Saki reluctantly agrees, warning Stockman that he had better not fail again - or he will get his final punishment. Baxter says not to worry, if the Turtles died in the fire, he’ll find the evidence.

Back at the farm, everyone is worried about Leonardo’s lack of progress. In an effort to communicate with Leo’s spirit, Don, Mike and Raph all tell Leo a heartfelt story about an adventure from their early days. With each story, Leo stirs a little more.

In NYC, Stockman goes to the site of the fire, but he can’t find any real evidence that the Turtles, or anyone else, died in the blaze. Fearing the repercussions of facing Shredder empty handed, and wanting the opportunity to study the exoskeleton, Baxter manufactures some evidence to deceive Saki.

At the farm, Splinter tells Leonardo the tale of how he conquered his fear of heights. Things still look bleak, but Leonardo suddenly mutters, "No fear" and wakes up! Everyone is overjoyed and excited to see that the boy in blue is back, even though there is still a long road to full recovery.

Back at the Shredder's dojo, the Foot Clan's leader is deceived by Stockman's ruse and tells the mad scientist that the exoskeleton will be delivered to his lab in the morning. Saki then leaves, cheered by the news that his foes are apparently dead. We leave the Foot HQ with Stockman laughing about his opportunity to study the mysterious suit, thus enabling to deal out his own form of punishment in the near future.
