Is anyone else gonna see "Eragon" movie when it hits theaters? I might and I might not. I love dragons an all. But I'm that kind of sensitive person. So I dunno if I wanna see the movie.

[ I wasn't sure what topic to throw this in ]

Even before the TMNT trailer was revealed to be shown before "Eragon", I wanted to see this movie. I love dragons and I love fantasy adventures! I'm not spoiling myself with too much information anyhow. Hopefully, we'll get to see it next weekend when it premieres. Happy/Smile

The effects are GREAT!

The story is predictable - Hero being a poor farm boy, who gets chosen against his will to be a hero.  And is dragged on a mission.

Characters are good : esp the Dragon!  THE DRAGON ROCKS!

I will deff see the second movie when it comes out.

It's a good movie!   Though our crowd had mixed reviews so like movie it depends person to person.  Most of us enjoyed the movie, one guy in our group though didn't seem to enjoy it at all.

Ergh.. hate to double post, but sorta bumping the thread since I've seen the movie:

I wouldn't say it's destined to become one of my favorites or that I'll go buy it on dvd right when it comes out. It's a feel-good movie, though, and the special effects are REALLY nice. I'm a sucker for dragons so I had to go see it. The dragon in the movie was adorable as a wyrmling [baby dragon]. As Mikey said, it's a predictable fantasy story and to me, some of the acting was a bit stale. I went into this movie knowing a lot about it, though, so I took the chance. I just wanted a nice, simple movie anyways. Happy/Smile

Maybe the sequels might repair some of the flaws in the 1st movie.

Same here!  My dad got me a movie gift card good for two adult admissions for my birthday and I had no clue what I wanted to see.  I began seeing trailers for "Eragon" and saw that it opened December 15.  That was the movie I wanted to use my gift card on and it was before knowing the TMNT trailer would play with it.  As it is, I'm usually unaware of what trailers are playing with the movie, nor do I really care.  We went to see it on December 16 and I thoroughly enjoyed it!  What I loved the most is the visuals, cinematography, not to mention the gorgeous CGI work on Saphira.  Rachel Weisz's voice was a breath of fresh air, the same goes for Jeremy Irons' bold British accent.  The storyline is basic about a farm boy turned dragon rider to battle the forces of eee-veal and bring peace back to the land.  Simple enough?  Now, I'm debating on reading the book to compare the two.

I saw these on 17 of December. I thought it was good. The only part I didn't like was Saphire's wings.
