And there's the photoshopped version... in the fan art section. Ficlet! I like that word.

I sure could. We've had a couple of flakes, but nothing that stuck where I am.
I understand that San Francisco was frozen in a block of ice this morning, too. Brrr......

Right now, there's a very real possibility that we will NOT have a white Christmas here. No loss...

LOL!! That story was great! Poor Raph!
And poor bird! My mom used to live in Virginia-- the big birds emptied the regular feeders, and all the lil' birds were perched on the ground in front of her car, trying to stay warm after she'd come home from work, hungry...
She managed to feed them right there, and fortunately that day the big birds were too busy to notice.
But I digress-- that was freaking funny, and GW is right-- that would have been a wicked video!!!

It's currently 49 degrees where I live - outside, that is, where I am NOT. LOL It's a toasty 70 degrees here in front of my PC. :0)
Do you know that it can be too cold for snow? Yep. My dad lives east of Mt. Lassen and it's currently 25 degrees. This morning, his outdoor thermometer read 4 degrees! BRRRRRR Not much snow, but plenty of ice. Yeeehaaaw.
And that story of Aig's would be hilarious on vid. Or DVD. The visions it conjures up - priceless hilarity. :0) My sides would ache for a very loooooong time.

Yeah, when I lived in Maine, there would be cold snaps of minus 70, (with wind chill) on a brilliantly sunny day. And the ocean frozen solid out far enough from shore so that you could walk possibly to other islands. Not that I wanted to... gah. It has to have some kind of precipitation and then a layer of cold air in the right place for snow to happen, otherwise you get either hail, sleet or freezing rain. Gah. If it gets cold enough here for the ground to be freezing, any rain that comes can turn to black ice on the roads. People around here aren't exactly used to that... Heh... feeding the birds can be a no-win situation, some days. At least one doesn't have to do that here.

Wow. I know I'm late to the party here, but this was hilarious, Raph. Nothing like a real life experience to get the muses going, huh, Aig? That was awesome and very well done. Great job. Yes, birds can be very finicky. My mom has tons of them who come to her feeders. In the summer, you should see when the hummingbirds come. There's this black one that always fights for the food and won't let the others come near the feeder. He's even dive bombed my dad.
