Are you sure this is accurate? I'm a huge fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar and I loved Chris Evans in Fantastic Four but I thought the studio clearly said there'd be no celeb voice overs; unless of course that only pertains to the TMNT and Splinter.

Look at the USAtoday.com articles...
This news will be printed in the paper tomorrow.
It was Kevin Monroe that told everyone to look at USAtoday for answers to voices...
I am going to assume this is correct.

I quite agree about the Leo picture. Leo's the best! I'm so glad it's officially confirmed in the news they didn't overdo it with celeb VAs! I find the comment in the second article about "Leo travelling the world" extremely amusing. Buuuut, I hope there could be the chance for a midnight show!!! Then I could see it, and so could Ninjara, before we end up on plane on the way to Japan on the 23rd....

Yea, that shot of the rainfall is awesome! Speaking of which, I couldn't help but notice that lame DaVinci Code reference. Whoever made up that pun needs to be smacked upside the head by Raph and Don!

The amphibian thing just pizzas me off. I'll show them amphibian!! You'd think after all these years, people would grow up to learn the difference between reptiles and amphibians. But nooooo! Also, what I recall at San D Con was a mention they did not intend to fill out the cast with celebs, but they wanted a few here and there. And of course, Mako was announced at the Con itself.

I will definitely third that. This is going to be just awesome. I know it. I really wanted to know who the VAs for the guys are. I guess they're going to keep us in suspense a little longer.

Tsk... there's really no reason to argue over it, Leo. Of course you're going to say you are the best.

ok... I am personally troubled by this... and not sure if I was lied too or if the magazine has made a mistake... though I'm bound to figure it out. Quinton Flynn told me and others... that he is Casey Jones for the movie. He was very open about it, and even answered questions and acted like it was really going on. I was very sure that Quinton wasn't lying, since I've never been really lied to by VA about the work they've done. He's even signed my shirt. Though according to this artical: Fantastic Four's Chris Evans is the hockey-stick-swinging Casey Jones. I've known magazines to get things wrong before... esp back in the early day with the TV show... man did people get upset with many of the magazines that came out back in the day. I have them still, and when bringing them up to either the people being interviewed or the people they're about, I find a lot of the news in it is fake. I've even been through it, with a newspaper report that was full of BS. So I don't know if I can trust the newspaper story either. To try and figure this out I've done two things. I've gone to Quinton Flynn on myspace sending him a message asking him. And I've PMed Kevin telling him what's happened and asking him which one is it. Hopefully one of them will reply with an answer. Though till than, I'm going to be going crazy over this

See, this is what I was worried about-- that anyone who'd spent time doing voices would be suddenly replaced with a "name"...

IMDB.com also still has Quinton's name in the credits, but it's never accurate. Besides, there's always the possibility the director might've had to recast for some unknown reason. Perhaps Quinton wasn't happy with the character or Kevin felt he just wasn't right for the part.

Tsk... there's really no reason to argue over it, Leo. Of course you're going to say you are the best. And that came up because by the end of last season?? <shrug> Sometimes one just has to come out and say it. I wonder how the movie will go in terms of this discussion? New playing field again. As for the voice discussion...that is weird news about the Casey role. And Jephael made good points. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Replacing someone after work had begun wouldn't be the first time in Hollywood, as Jephael mentioned. There's a lot of examples. Like the role of Aragorn in Lord of the Rings. And I think they replaced the first captain they had for Voyager after they started, didn't they (but before finishing the first episode)? Howard Shore was replaced for the music for King Kong. I'm sure something like that has to be hard for everyone involved. To start putting your energy into something, then realize it's wrong, or be asked to leave.... Hopefully, we'll find out if it's just a media mistake (and there are certainly, as Mikey pointed out, plenty of those, too!!)

Well I do know that Quinton said he finished filming the movie and was still being called in from time to time to do little fixes ups here and there.
Just going to have to wait and see.

Hiya all
Something was pointed out to me... both Quinton Flynn and Chris Evans have played Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four. I think where the mistake is... now I gotta find out if I'm right. I think the magazine made the mistake, they may have heard "Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four" for the VA of Casey, and than did a double check to see if they got the right name and came up with this Chris Evans. Though I'm not sure, but this is a chance of what could be going on here.
I gotta get some offical feedback on this.

As a clarification, since I'm the one who pointed out the Fantastic Four connection to Ivey...
Quinton Flynn voiced Johnny Storm in the second season of the "Fantastic Four" animated series in the mid-'90s.
I just thought I'd add this clarification so folks know where he voiced Johnny.

True Jephael you told me who he was... and US today told me... but wyze2099 told me that Quinton Flynn did a role in Fantastic Four. That was the piece of the puzzle I didn't hear from anyone else.

Got a reply from Kevin.... Hey there -
Here's an answer that'll blow your mind... both of the sources were telling the truth. The only thing that changed is... time.
Much like bob hoskins/bob deniro doing Al Capone, Stoltz/Fox doing Marty McFly... things change. It sucks at the time, but they do.
Quinton is a great guy and a phenomenal talent, and far from a liar. But as is printed in USA Today, Chris is the voice of Casey.
Hope that alleviated any potential worry that would otherwise ruin your holidays.
Happy Holidays,
Kevin
So there we have it... they both did it, but Chris is the one that is going to be used. Poor Quinton I feel bad for him.

Yes, I feel sorry as well-- I'd love to know exactly how soon the other guy was brought in-- but I've already had it pointed out to me that I worry too much about "office politics".

Yea, my best friend and I were talking about fandoms today and how wacky they get about these little tid-bits of info. He found it pretty amusing to hear that the new movie is gonna be CGI!
