I'll never forget about 10 or so years ago before the bridge several yards down the road from my house was rebuilt. When the old bridge started to give way, it was no longer safe for automobiles to pass it and the county's officials had to put up blockaides on either side of the bridge.

At one point in time, the ill-fated bridge actually had an inflatable Michaelangelo innertube like contraption sitting infront of the blockade. I thought it was the coolest thing ever, and I kind of regret not taking a photo of it when I had the chance. Heck, I should've left a note asking if I could keep it when they were done using it. Although I think it belonged to one of the worker's kids.

I really wish I had a video tape when I got back stage at the Turtles "Getting Down in Your Town Tour"  I love the pictures I have, though I just feel video helps brings those memories back even stronger.   I also wish I got pictures of me with the Next Mutation Turtles when I was on the set, with them in full costume.

I carry a camera everywhere I go now that I got a digtal camera.  It's small enough to fit in my pocket so these days if I see something I want a picture of, I just whip out the camera and take the picture.  Even in stores, I've taken pictures of things to add to my wish list for Christmas.  Even if it's just a hawk sitting on top of a gas station sign or geese walking their family with babies across the street my camera is pulled out of the pocket to get picture.   It  holds over 300 pictures at a time, and I can easly load them and delete the pictures I don't want.

I also take a lot more video since I got my own video camera.  Infact I have six filled tapes sitting next to my computer monitor right now, three laying next to my keyboard, and another four sitting on my DVD rack.  That's not counting the ones down stairs or the ones sitting on my entertainment stand.  Need to get them all transfered to normal video tapes.  I'd really like to just transfer them onto DVDs instead, would make them a lot more easy to sort and watch.  Donatello

I was thinking yesterday of one of my times going to the Words and PIctures Museum, for the "UnderWhere" signing and I just realized I don't have any pictures or video at all from this event.   I wish I did... it was the event where I meet Julie Strain not long after she married Kevin (October 1995 was the event).  I also got to meet Mark Martin and Paul Jenkins at this event.

I'm so use to haveing pictures and videos from events, it surprises me that I don't have any from that one event.  I wish I did, since I'm going to be seeing Paul at Mid-Ohio Con.

Did Words and Pictures even allow cameras or videos? I know certain places like that would rather you didn't film or take flash photos.

I got full scale video tours of the place.   They really didn't want video taping or pictures on the third floor, though anytime we did it we got permission.

I got video from opening night and from the membership closing party...   at the 4story building they're best known for.  Other than that I have a lot of video and pictures from my many visits there.  I miss that building like no one would believe, it's so hard looking at that place these days.  When I go out there I feel like crying seeing it being a cell phone store now... gah that so makes me sick.   The Words and Pictures Museum was a wonderful place and the workers there were some of the nices people you could ever meet.  I miss them all greatly.

Something I vaguely remember early on in my years as a TMNT fan, and I really wish I had a video cam, or something, was at the Minnesota State Fair one year. It's been so long ago, I might be wrong(any other MN locals, correct me if I'm remembering something completely different! Razz), but I'm pretty sure I remember this really well.

Aside from having huge plushies to win at the carnival booths on the midway(they also had 'em at Valleyfair!), all up and down the midway, on the displays to the various rides, they had the TMNT! I haven't seen anything of the sort done in all the years I went to the fair since(closest thing I've come, has been locating the occasional Turtle balloon or plushie hanging lonesome in the toy booths, and yes I do snap them up Razz), but I vaguely recall, likely around 89-90, I was in 4th or 5th grade, and I remember seeing that.

The outside of the rides and booths are usually pretty goofy and cartoony, having to do with, well, whatever theme the ride is(they've got haunted houses, and hall of mirror places, a couple of Arabian Nights themed things, and a couple of pirate themed rides, too), but I swear, there was one time that we went back in those days, where it was aaaaallll TMNT themed.

The only one I really remember, was either for a Haunted House or a roller coaster, and the TMNT were painted on the outside display as being on a roller coaster(I vaguely recall that there might've been a monster chasing them, hence why I think it may have been one of those haunted houses you ride on rails through...), and I think Mikey had a pizza or something.

Man, I wish, I wish, I wish I had a camera then. If I'd known I would've been on a board like this, sharing this sort of thing, I would have. Razz
