I saw this, and liked it in spite of the Greek voices and language. I am sooo wanting to see the entire season-- That guy with the goatee is Dr. Chaplin, and you can tell he's got it bad for Karai!! When Stockman asked the Turtles what prevented him from destroying them once and for all, and Silver Sentry said "Us" and they got a look at all the Turtle's allies-- that was sweet! But I wish they'd gone into more detail regarding the return of the others-- too sketchy! Karai was something in it. After a bit, I was almost "hearing" it in English with the voices we're familiar with-- especially when Splinter asked her if she was ready to face the Shredder, and she responded with such force (and violence!).
I guess I'll be placing an order Down Under and then look for a new DVD player that is PAL equipped. I hold out no hopes of 4Kids ever releasing the series here-- I STILL do not understand why they are free to air it all over the world and sell it all over the world, but refuse to do so here.

Dude, whoever is currently running 4Kids needs a serious kick in the head! Don't they even realize or care about the potential they had with this storyline?

Or as hexAdecimal likes to say "boot to the head." I'm with you though. It REALLY looks great but it looks like we'll be ordering from Australia for it. *shrugs* I'm willing to do it after seeing what I had so far.

I think 4Kids is allowing the show to be released elsewhere, aired or on DVD, first to create the desire here. Everyone who has seen bits and pieces of this season are chomping at the bit to own it, probably moreso than for previous DVD releases.
They'll probably release it on DVD here shortly after it's been released elsewhere and the folks that might not normally buy DVDs will jump at the chance to buy this series. Then they'll let it air on TV.
What better way to create a demand for their product?

They run the risk of people NOT buying the DVDs once someone uploads the eps to youtube, grouper, and bittorrent, however...

True, but they run that risk with any DVD release. Besides, they've got legality on their side...we've seen them pull copyrighted things from You Tube.

I honestly think they run a higer risk of a lot of us buying a perfectly legal copy from another country and then passing when then finally release it over here because we have already invested in a DVD player that plays all regions or we have re-coded our current DVD player or whatever.
But then again the little kids whos parents won't know the DVD was released anywhere else will still buy the 4Kids DVD version and that I suppose is all 4Kids cares about. I have truely come to the opinion that they honestly could care less about the adult Turtle fanbase.

Ah geez.....I'm going to go out on a limb here..... You know, Leo and I had a discussion about this months ago.......and Leo didn't quite agree with what I thought....cuz, yeah....I get these epiphanies that make no sense at all....but I'm telling ya.....quite a few of them actually come to be. Soooo... Raph, you have come the closest to what I think is going down with Lost Season bull.....but I'll go one crazy step closer to the edge....... I think you all are going to see FF go to where the guys get back to their own time and it dovetails into the Lost Season somehow. Where I deviate from Raph's theory is, I don't think a dvd will be released until these eps air. Nevermind that the Lost Season floating around in pieces elsewhere. It 's crazy to think anyone would do something like this.....but you know what? If I had something in a so-called slump, with a pretty promising movie on the horizon.......yeah, I'd stall. And these people had the knowledge of what was coming up long before any of us got wind of it. Okay. You can laugh at me now.

I have truely come to the opinion that they honestly could care less about the adult Turtle fanbase. Ooh, so true there. The target audience for most cartoons are kids. The kids are the ones buying the toys & merchandise (as a rule). Saturday morning cartoons have never been geared toward the adults and I seriously doubt they ever will be. Are there DVD players that play all regions? I know there are DVDs that are Region 0, and, thus, supposedly playable in any machine (provided your machine also can do the PAL/NTSC/Whatever else conversion), but I've never heard of an all region DVD player (it'd be nice...).

I know I have quiet a few friends that have bought cheap DVD players from places like Target and Wal-mart that play not only region 1 but also play there import region 2 DVDs from Japan.
I personally just play the DVDs on my Windows Media Player on my computer as it seems to play everything I put in it *laughs*

Sorry, Ninjara, no bets here about FF, it's not acceptable for me to put a bet when I don't even get to see FF. That means you have info I don't have, and knowing Kitsune, never put yourself into a bad position with a ninja fox. The whole thing is just jerking fans around, and it's tied to money. That's my stance and I'm sticking to it.
