Financial garbage!  >Happy/Smile And I could go into how much I detest the state where I live in, but I'm trying to remain positive during a very tough financial time. And I'm with Mikey - where the heck are some of these 'friends' when you need some emotional support? The minute you say, "money is tight", they're off like lightning because they're afraid you're going to ask them. You would think childhood friends or friends of 10+ years would know you better than that. Sad/Down I work very hard and have nothing to show for it. *sigh*

Things could be worse, but I wish they'd get better soon. I hate waking up in the morning with this feeling. x__x;

((on the happy side: I was transferring a customer's 80s home video from VHS to DVD today, and the little boys in the video were playing the original TMNT game on NES. I smiled. ))

Money really does bite, and it seems to be a nation wide thing.  And I so agree, it really stinks when friends disappear for that reason too.  Would be nice if they could at least open a ear about the problems.  Sad/Down

I know so many people who are having money issues, so I listen cause I too know how it feels to have money issues.  It hasn't been easy, and I really wish things would get better all around.  Sad/Down

...or who punish you when you hit a low spot.
It's one thing if you live in the low spot all the time, but if you're just going through a rough time, and just need someone to support you emotionally, be understanding, or rant along with you....
A wise fox told me you find out who your true friends are in those times.

May you find the true friends to help you now, and may better times return to you again.

as for Mikey, I chatted on irc last night about that thread

best wishes to everyone, in their rough times.

It's funny when people wish money grew on trees, and then there's that saying that money is the root of all evil.  Root, trees?  Okay, you get the idea.  In my situation, all I want to do is get by each day without having to see how much I have in the bank before I can spend anything.  I hate having to go to the grocery store and write down how much everything costs incase I spend too much.  I pull back on spending on extras because I really can't afford them, however, to avoid being a recluse, I do try to get out as much as I can.  Go see a movie, take a drive out of town, or even go to a clothing store and treat myself to some new blouses.  It's wanting to keep myself happy but being careful with how much I spend.

The original saying is, "the love of money is the root of many kinds of evil". Wink

Can't buy friends, either. At least not the kind that you want.  Neutral

*hugs Mindy* I understand how you feel. You need money for almost everything, and it's hard when you don't have that money.

I hope all your financial problems disappear soon.
