Hiya everyone,
I was wondering what everyone's favorite set of toys that came out. Now I'm not going by "Wacky Action Turtles" and "Toon Turtles" I'm going with the over all theme.
Originals: The first set of toys all the way to 1996. With ManRay, Rat King, Baxter, Rock n' Roll, and Framing. TMNT Movie Stars: TMNT 2 & 3, they both had movie sets come out. Movie two had characters like Tokka & Rahzar while TMNT 3 even came out with the new human characters like Whit and Walker. Next Mutation: This series had most of the new villains (Though Dr. Quease was never released and a few minor characters like Bing and Wick were never made). It had a few lines of toys like Raph & his bike, the hummer, and the Thrashin Turtles 4Kids: Covering the toys back to December 2002 to the Fast Forward toys. With many characters from the show becoming toys. Bringing forth some characters from Mirage comics that never had a toy like Nobody. With a lot of new stuff like the lair, the Battle Shell, and some remakes like the "Mutatin Turtles". TMNT 4th Movie: The newest toys on the market which cover the new movie. Which have stuff like miniatures of the main characters of the movie to normal size toys and big toys out already. The big toys talk! All the above: You love and collect them all including "Clown Michaelangelo" and Farming Donatello. All the way to every version of Venus De'Milo with her different color weapons.
Each of these are based off of different section of the TMNT history. Original of course had the most toys in it's lines from Casey Jones to Wingnut and Screwloose while Movie Stars & Next Mutation just had a handful of characters come out (one of the ones on the back of the boxes didn't even come out for Next Mutation).

I said all but the standouts are the 4th movie figs they're just really nicely done. their articulation's never been better, no overly rediculous expressions, they're subdued which is nice. and they LOOK LIKE THEIR CGI COUNTERPARTS!![brag]I do have a representation of every Raph from the original line, movies(with the rubber skin!), next mutation, 2k3, FF and CGI...[/brag]

Movie Stars should technically be a sub-category of Original Toyline.

I'll say all but the Next mutation ones, as I don't remember them & I would've hated 'em 'cause of Venus. And I don't remember the movie ones from years ago, but they're allowed to be liked just 'cause-lol.

I am a huge fan of the original line (I also did grab all the 4th movie ones though) That said the NEW ones from Neca that are from the comics are AMAZING, although having only bought one set (all I can afford) I can't bring myself to take them out of their plastic even though they are SOOOO COOOL! Has anyone else grabbed these yet?

I love my Neca toys! *huggles them* I just opened up my first set today! The one from NYCC I'm keeping in the box though LOL. As for the Next Mutation figures, sadly I don't own any of those I'm still trying to get my hands on at least a Don one!

I gotta say I'm a fan of all the series'. But I have to agree that these NECA figures are just beyond sweet. They look sooooo good. I can't wait for the rest of the figures to come out.

Are they actually going to do the black and white special issue ones? Or was that just an idea?

They want to release them in the next wave of toys. They had a full set of the b&w ones at NYC Comic Con, don't think we would of seen that, if it was just an idea.

Hmn... On this one I marked all of the above... Only for the fact that I have 3 favorites...Original, Movie Stars, and the 4th Movie... XD... The 4Kids ones were okay, but when it came to coolness for design and such? Those three win it for me. ;....

Well, it was for the longest time the original run of the Playmates toys from '88, but now I'm growing kind of partial to the NECA line based off of the comic books, they're by far the coolest that have been made thus far and represent the original look of the Turtles more so than any other line. But that's just me.
