Just picked it up at Borders. It was in the independent readers section of the kids books. Price is $4.99, has a plain black cover with the TMNT logo on it.
Not giving any spoilers here, so no worries. Happy/Smile

I thought it was nicely written, it's at about third grade level, yet doesn't insult the reader's intelligence. Some pretty funny stuff in there, too. However, it will tell you how the movie turns out. So if you don't want to know that much, then avoid reading the last 2 chapters. That is, if you can. I decided to go for it and read it, and didn't mind knowing the ending.

Makes me want to see the movie, all the more.  Very Happy/Big Grin

I bought it off of Ebay a few days ago and still waiting for it to come in the mail.

I read the novel for TMNT 1 & 3 all the way through before seeing the movie (didn't find the novel for TMNT 2 till after the movie was in the theater, wish I did would of liked knowing of Tokka and Rahzar before the movie came out hehe)

Whoo!

It was fun to read the graphic novels of the movies before they came out, as well. I enjoyed the Mirage version of TMNT 2 better than the movie itself, actually.

I only just noticed at the front of the TMNT 4 book, that it was adapted from Kevin Munroe's screenplay by Steve Murphy. Yeah!

And what wonderful quotes in the beginning and at the end... the first by Splinter, the last by Raph.

If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up from it. At least not until after I've seen the movie.  Love

I will get the books...but I will not read them until after the movie.
Even if I have to wait until after Japan to see it. I want to be surprised, and blown away emotionally by the story by sitting on the edge of my seat, not knowing what is coming next....

No spoilers in this part, just an opinion on the book itself, for whatever it's worth:

After the initial fun of reading where the movie plot is going, I'm starting to see a couple of problems with the book, though.
Thing is, for those who plan to read the book after seeing the movie, it might be, eh, anti-climactic.
Parts of the book are nicely written, and other parts are kind of... well, it lacked a good description of what is really going on in some scenes, and it may very well confuse people on the depiction of certain characters. That is, I'm concerned the inconsistency of the quality of the writing itself will turn some people off who are not familiar with the TMNT's characters and will mis-judge the movie on reading this book. Some people seem to have drawn conclusions based on just that, from what I've seen on some message boards.
Personally, I've heard this sort of talk before, concerning LotR, and when finally seeing the movies, all concerns on my part were banished.

Spoiler, highlight to read:

 Sweat

Uhm... I think Leo is getting the short end of the stick in the initial storybook... he's making himself out to be a bit of a brat. I'm optimistic that this was simply sloppy writing and misleading. And that in the movie, all will be made clear. Otherwise, Leo fans will be chasing Kevin Monroe out of the country...  Wink

I read about the book, checked my usual online source for ordering things and saw that they had it, then I saw that they had it in the local stores, so I created a good reason to go to the mall on Saturday. Bought the book, came home and read the book.

I like ze spoilers...  LOL

He was making a comparison list between Raph and the Nightwatcher, and his comments were hilarious. I have to track down that book, too.  LOL

It's in the children's book category, if that is any help. You probably could find it online on Amazon, or some other book site. Happy/Smile
