*Takes a deep breath*  The party is over, and it was a long awaited event or at least felt that way with all of the work done for this event.  To find out more about the work put into it, please check out the original event topic at : http://www.tmnt-l.com/index.php?topic=1500

The work did not just take place on the loft like the original pictures were mainly showing, there was a lot of other things placed up and done for this party.  As cleaning was done in the hall and room up stairs, the down stairs had to be cleaned as well.  Lucky for us, we were able to finish in time.  Some of the work done very last minute, here is some last minute pictures of some work Casey did to help have things looking ready for the event.

The top of the ladder that Casey had to use.

Here are some pictures of Casey on the ladder.  Fuzzyduc was using a broom to hold him against the wall.

Casey also had to hang over the edge of the rail/bookshelf to place some of the posters on the wall.  I'll admit that this kind of stuff just drives me in sane... FuzzyDuc had to hold Casey's feet, to help make sure he didn't go head down the steps.  Here are a few pictures from there.

It all turned out GREAT!  Here is the finished look

So it goes from there, this is how we got the room to look the morning of the party.

Last area up stairs that is now finished is the loft.  It's got a lot of movie stuff up there, and we spoke a lot about the new movie.

With all the prep ready, it was time to start the fun.  Seven came by Friday night and spent the night.  So in the morning we had to get together and she went out with her kids for the day so that they wouldn't be in the way with the TV crew walking around, and was planning to be back for the party.  Just as she was heading the door, the crew showed up.  We did the introductions down in the living room, and than I showed them where the collection is.   I think they were a bit shocked before they even got to the sewer.

So they wired me up and started by doing a tour of my collection.  I got to walk around and show them some of the different items in my collection, and took this time to fill them in about my arm a bit so they'd be careful around it.  My evil arm was not happy that day, so I was having a hard time and working hard not to show that I was in pain on the camera.  After the walk through of the collection we did a few fast takes of me introducing myself.   Than we went down stairs to bake the cake.

Here a shot of my mom in the kitchen while we were doing the cake.

After the cake, Casey showed up just in time as we were discussing heading out for the comic shop.   They had Casey come back in, and while on camera Casey surprised me with a very nice gift, a TMNT zip up hoodie with the four Turtles on the front of it.  This was a total shock, I love it!  It's fits nice and is comfy.  I put it on as soon as I got it.   Than we did a little set up for the camera of getting ready for the party.  After that we headed out for lunch.

Funny, out of everything we could eat while out we went to Pizza Hut.  We got to eat with the crew and get to know them a little better.  The Golfer of the group is from Troy Michigan and is hired only as a temp thing when they came into town.  The other three are the crew, the camera guy, the sound guy and the director.   Keeping with the normal stuff on here, I don't want to give real names away so I'll refer to them as the job they did.  Wink

We ate and got talk a bit.  They talked about other jobs they did, how they got to go to Botcon.  I enjoyed hearing that and asked if they got to meet Scott McNeil.  They asked if he was a guest, and I told them he was a voice actor.  Than they're like "Is he the one who wore the Cowboy hat?".  So we got to connect a bit there.  It was fun, though I was surprised we were eating pizza there, when we were having pizza ordered for the party.  Than we walked across the street to Warp 9, which is the comic shop that I buy my TMNT comics at.  On Camera Casey and I picked up some TMNT comics and shifted through some comics at the store.  Than we left back to my house, where we worked on getting ready for the party, ordered the pizza and people started to arrive.

I will fill in more on this later, just going to get this one posted. Happy/Smile

Wow! It's nice to see the finished display of all the work that you did. I couldn't wait to see all these pics after seeing the in progress pics and talking with you about it.

I am still amazed at all the work that went into this, and how it came out with the amount of time that was put into this. Way awesome!!!

And your mom is using a kitchenaid!!! Gotta love those!!  Razz

I swear I felt like I was a pinata up there, never knowing when I was going to drop down to spill out mt candy goodness all over the floor.  The party was pretty fun though.

It's tough to judge height in the picture, but that looked like an accident waiting to happen...The ladder looked like it wasn't open and BARLEY touching the upper wall..

glad to see everything worked out..though.

LOL Now that I've met you, I can say that line is so you. The party was fun, despite trying to have fun while being quiet for what felt like two hours.
