Is it just me, or does the preview for Tales of the TMNT Vol. 2, #15 seem to bare more than a passing resemblance to TMNT Vol. 1, #30, with the alternate dimension roadsters?

I know what you mean, dude. It's like does Peter Laird even realize that they're rehashing a storyline from 1990?
Of coarse I guess we'd have to keep in mind that #30 was a guest issue so it probably isn't canon anymore (unless they make a reference to it in the new story).

It looks more than just unintentional... and if Tales #15 directly is referring to TMNT Vol. 1, #30 -- by Rick Veitch -- and thus making it officially canon (though I'd say it was to begin with), it would be safe to say that Rick Veitch's excellent "The River" would be canon as well (which also should be to begin with, particularly since issue #28 -- all by Lawson -- has a direct flashback to Veitch's "The River").

Hmm, interesting theory. Now I'm really looking forward to reading that issue to see if they make the reference!

This issue is not picking up from issue #30 of Mirage... there's a new story line for it, it's a ghost issue about a ghost racer who'll get your soul if you loose the race.   The issue stars Michelangelo, Casey Jones and Shadow.   Interesting issue all together, kind of surprises me that Casey doesn't believe in Ghost with all the strange junk they bump into in their lifes.
