Hey everyone!

Right now the movie is a big buzz among us fans... some of which have had the lucky chance of seeing the movie.  And I know I deff want to see it again and again and again.  Though the weekend this counts most towards the studios is now this weekend... this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!

So what better way of helping let the media know we want MORE TURTLES than by going to this movie as many times as our hearts desire.  Now I know some people have money issues, others have jobs, and others don't have transport... so don't worry if you can't do it that many times.  This topic is to find out how many people are going to try!

So here's a small poll for this weekend only, this does not count towards the rest of the time it's in theaters or when it comes to video.  Hehehe let's find out who's going to live at the theaters this weekend...  we've waited 14 years for this... let's live it up to the fullest!

I chose 5+ even though it'll with any luck be three times-- once (or twice) on Friday, and then at least once on Saturday or Sunday (it's playing down the street from my home!  Edwards Ren. with that LOVELY stadium seating and HIGH backed chairs!!!).

I will HAVE to see it at least twice, because I can already tell it's a movie I will need to watch again to get what I missed the first showing.

Well, I know I'll be seeing it at least twice. Certainly not up to 5 times, though,. Can't afford to do things like that. Razz

I plan to see it myself.  Loew's Cityplace (near Downtown Dallas) has  $4 admission for the 11:00 am showing (only good on Fridays & weekends).  It's worth riding the DART train out there.

Well since I was originally planning to go to NYC and can't do that now  *growls at evil sickness* I'm going to use my money on the movie still by seeing it a lot.  I want to help make sure it's up this weekend and am working to encourage as many people to see it as I can.

Friday I got  Shadow Wolf, Eclipse, Iruka and myself going.  I'm going to see if I can get anyone else in on it in my area.  Since I wasn't suppose to be in town this is a last minute thing.   I want to do something big after waiting 14 years for a new TMNT movie.  Just wish I could be doing it in NYC like originally planned Sad/Down

On the commercial it said "Only In Theaters!" does that mean we'll hafta weait years for it to come out on DVD??? Or does that mean no DVD @ all??? Or does it mean it's only in theaters right now???? 'Cause Monster's Inc. when it came out "was only in theaters" & then a year or two later it came on on video. Oye vey.

I'm counting down the days = soon to be the hours! Lol.

I am hoping to see the film 5-6 times this weekend.

Sunday I am planning an outing with a lot of the people I work with so hopefully I am going to have 40 or so people going to the movie with me (I am trying everything I can think of to help it its opening weekend *laughs*)

As for the DVD the Official website stated sometime last week (I think) that the DVD is slated to hit stores July 10th of this year.

But like all release dates that is subject to change  Wink  (can you tell I work retail *laughs*)

If I SERIOUSLY had the money (time isn't the problem this weekend, WOW!), I would go see it 5+ times. In fact, my friend and I might go catch it on a Sunday matinée, after watching it tonight. Happy/Smile

I know PLENTY of others who are going to see it this weekend!! I have practically told the planet, *lol*

Sweetness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It'd better come out here!!!!!!!

I went with my Dad.

If y'all lived here, you could go all week - it's playing right up until Thursday. Friday [yesterday when I saw it] until this coming Thursday - thus far. Lol. Then it's going to be at the other theater & when it is, I'm SO there again! With my Dad - he has to come, 'cause he's the one who asked the Dude about the poster - lol.

I've seen it twice; once yesterday and once today. If I had the money, I'd go again tomorrow for a third time, but I think I'll wait on that until I get paid again next weekend. It's expensive to go to the movies, but this movie is sooo worth every penny.

Saw it twice on Friday, and once today!

I've not wanted to see a film repeatedly like this in I don't know how long.

I've seen it once, and not on opening weekend.  Too many RL issues happening that are keeping me busy....

I went both yesterday and today to see it in the same theatre. I was hoping my cousin Steve would want to pick a different theatre, but in the end I figured it was more convenient seeing as how I knew exactly which wing the movie was being played in!

Well it's official I'm crazy Wink

How many times I've seen the movies by date.

17th  Once
23rd  Three
24th  Two
25th  Five

That's 11 times... ten of which being this weekend so I did as many as I said I would in this poll.  And good news is, it looks like TMNT had a good weekend Very Happy/Big Grin

Arista pointed this story out to me:

"The ninja turtles are back, and they're winning. The Warner Bros. adventure "TMNT," a computer-animated update of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" comics, cartoons and 1990s live-action movies, debuted as the top weekend flick with $25.45 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates Sunday."

*snip non TMNT stuff*

""TMNT" follows the escapades of four hip turtles who mutate into man-sized reptiles and use their martial-arts mastery to fight bad guys.

"It's sequel time, dudes," said Harvey Weinstein, co-chairman of the Weinstein Co., which is distributing "TMNT" overseas. "We knew from the inception of this project that that the `TMNT' characters would continue to resonate with audiences across the world.""

This can be found at : http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/ap/20070325/117485040000.html

Thanks for pointing this out to me Arista!!!!!!

$7 for movies before 6pm and $9 for the movies after 6pm.  I don't know how much total I spent since I was paying for others to see it over and over again as well.

Saw it again today... so that makes it... twice!

Okay, for those who have seen it multiple times, does it get better with each viewing? I enjoyed it even more the second time around.
Hmm. I just made a funny. Second time around... get it?

I totally agree!  It does get better with every viewing!  I can't believe the difference in the second time seeing it for me.   It's one of the reasons I didn't have a problem seeing it so many times this weekend.  Wink

I ended up seeing it four times over the weekend. I'm glad TMNT did well opening weekend. I agree that the movie is even better the second time you see it!!!  The third time and after, it plateaus, but I'm still going to see it a bunch more times.

There's that subtle undercurrent that you pick up more of each time you see it. And each character is doing something different in any particular scene, it's difficult to watch what everyone is doing at once.  And I never get tired of watching their expressions. Just brilliant stuff.
