I think its great that TMNT beat out 300. I hope it can do it again next weekend!

Though, I do wish it had made more money. This is about the same as back in 1990. So, with inflation... not that great... but that just goes to show that not as many people go to the movies.

I got a feeling we won't have #1 next weekend, with the new Disney movie out.  But hey hopefully I'm wrong.  Just the promotions on Disney's behave has been a lot stronger than what WB has done for TMNT.

I'm glad to see this.. though had 300 opened the same weekend, it would've taken 1st. I've seen both movies and loved both, so I'm glad they're the top 2.

Congrats on TMNT being #1!  They overcame the bad reviews, but the public has spoken!

I'm absolutely thrilled considering all the negativity that I kept hearing.  I only heard good things here but everywhere else, I heard people screaming "If you're any kind of fan, you will not see this movie and boycot it!"  Maybe that's the east coast/NJ mentality but I'm definately surprised and happy.

This is a prime example of how good movies are usually panned by critics. Habitually, I go see movies that get "thumbs down", because they're usually great!

I remember 20 years ago saying that this concept was "the dumbest idea I've ever heard of"! My brother stuffed the original series down my throat, and I've been loving them ever since!  Happy/Smile

To quote Goliath of the Gargoyles, "People always fear things they don't understand". To know TMNT is to love them!

I only hope that I have anough bribe money to pay Karai for a bit part in the sequel!  LOL
(HEY! I can dream, can't I?!)
