Personally I don't give a care what the numbers state, we waited 16 years for them to be back on the big screen and I for one am going to enjoy it while it's around and not look upon or dread on the news from the mass media.  I will do everything in my power to see the movie enough so I won't regret it when it's out of the theater (who knows how long till the next one if we get another one), and I will keep encouraging others to see it in the theaters as well.

I have to agree I am very thankful to see the turtles agian. Your right it has been years and the movie blew me away i loved it , but i would be much happier if they made much more money like say $100,000,000+ Enough to make the happy and make another movie quicker.

I think it's only here in the Pasadena/ L.A. area one more week-- so I'll be able to go at least once more.  And I am gonna preorder the DVD.

It is FINALLY showing in Bessemer, Michigan-- a way out of the way place my sister lives in, where all movies except for what are expected to be blockbusters (ie, the next Harry Potter film) open weeks behind the norm.

Well-- Way less theaters this past weekend, but Saturday as usual had TWICE as many viewers as the day before.  80 mil world-wide.  And I am HOPING for one more weekend in theaters-- I can go this coming weekend if it's still playing.  Like I said, it JUST started playing in the out of the way places like Bessemer.

But if they're gonna stick with the July 10th release date for the DVD, will they let it stay in theaters much longer?

It's not showing anywhere in the DC area at this point, at least in the first-run houses.  (Thank you, Spidey.)  We've got a few second-run theaters in this area that are pretty good--Arlington Cinema N Drafthouse is an experience not to be missed--so I'm not done seeing this on the big screen yet.  I've got a 2-for-1 pass to Arlington Drafthouse, and I know who's getting the second ticket when TMNT shows up there (as soon as they announce it).

I'm going to be burning up the Metro lines to Arlington for a couple of weeks...fifteen viewings on the big screen is still not enough for me.  (And anyone who says "glutton for punishment" is gonna get bapped...)

I can't believe it. It is still playing at my theatre in the first run, but they've cut it down to just two showings now; afternoon and evening. I think within the next week or so though it's going to the discount theatre for its second run there. $1.50! Very Happy/Big Grin

As of yesterday, May 13, 2007, it is still showing in the Phoenix, AZ area.

In my end of the valley, it is down to four showings a day at Harkins.  The first is at 9:35 am, and the last is at 4:45 pm.

Even though Spiderman is in town.......so are we.  Wink
