I was curious what some of the actors from the TMNT movies are doing nowadays so I took a hop over to http://www.imdb.com . Whether any of this is reputable or updated regularly, I found it interesting anyways. Judith Hoag [April- TMNT movie1]: She was in a couple of movies/tv shows in 2004. I keep getting Ms. Judith mixed up with Amy Brenneman from Judging Amy (don't ask... ). IMDB.com reads that Judith played in the movie "Armageddeon" as the character Denise? Wow, didn't know that. Which one was Denise? XD Elias Koteas [Casey- TMNT movies1 and 3]: He seems to stay busy! Of course, I loved his performance in "Fallen", and I call him Casey . Heh, he looks like a Casey. Ooh, and he played in "Contact" as the character Mohannon and "Gattaca" as Antonio Freeman. I've seen "Contact" but once again-- I must be blind or he had a very small part. Mr. Elias seems to have a couple of movies in post production or filming. Yaaay! Has anybody had the pleasure of meeting this guy? Sam Rockwell [Head Thug- TMNT movie1]: We all know Sam has gone on to bigger and better things. In fact, my roomie, husband, and I finished watching "Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy" the other day, and I informed them that Sam played in the first TMNT movie. They honestly didn't know that!! Sam has about three movies in post or filming according to imdb.com. It's great to see an actor from the TMNT movie universe have a skyrocketing career! Josh Pais [Raphael voice/Man in Cab- TMNT movie1]: Next to Frank Frankson (insert drool), Josh Pais had one of the BEST Raphael voices, IMO, so I couldn't leave him out of this. I loved the movie "Beautiful Mind" and IMDB reads that he played one of the professors. I have the movie on VHS so I'm going to check it out . He has a couple of movies in post production too. Toshirô Obata [Tatsu- TMNT movies1 and 2]: He hasn't been in any movies since 1995, according to IMDB. My husband wants to learn shin...kendo? I hope I have that correct, but he would LOVE to learn under Obata-sensei one day. He didn't know Obata played in the TMNT movies either . HE HAS DISGRACED OUR FAMILY, hehe. Michael Turney [Danny Pennington- TMNT movie1]- And this guy ....hasn't really been in anything since the 90 TMNT movie o_o Paige Turco [April- TMNT movies2 and 3]- Paige has been in a few TV shows and currently has a movie in post production "Waltzing Anna". David Warner [Prof. Jordan Perry- TMNT movie2]- Can we say buuuuussssy? Ha, he even played the voice of Zarm in "Captain Planet" in 93. Of course, "Titanic" as Lovejoy, and he actually is credited in a ton of voiceover productions. Warner was also in "A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" as Pea. Ernie Reyes, Jr [Keno- TMNT movie2]- Oooh, it reads that he was in "Rush Hour 2" as the character Zing, but it's only noted that his last appearance in 2003 is "The Rundown" in Australia and the UK. I thought he was great in TMNT2, very cute, choppy acting but I think I would've been too if I was in a popular movie so young. Vivian Wu [Mitsu- TMNT movie3]- She's been fairly busy, mostly with foreign films, but her newest movie will be "Shanghai Red" which is still filming at the moment. Extra: I saw Matt Hill's name in the TMNT movie3 credits as Raphael (not the voice)...interesting. As some of you may know, he DID the voice for Raphael in Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. Matt has been in a ton of VAing roles~ "Ranma 1/2", "Cardcaptors/Cardcaptor Sakura", and many many more. Feel free to mention additional information or if you've meet any of these (or other) folks.

IMDB.com reads that Judith played in the movie "Armageddeon" as the character Denise? Wow, didn't know that. Which one was Denise? XD Judith Hoag was in three scenes of "Armageddeon" if I remember correctly. She was the mother of Chick's son. Chick (played by Will Patton) was one of Bruce Willis' crew. I'm not sure if Judith Hoag's and Will Patton's characters were married, I don't remember seeing any wedding rings. But in the movie they are separated and Chick isn't allowed around his son, probably a restraining order. Big surprise but the disaster reunites Chick with his son and Denise. I have also seen Judith Hoag in a Xerox commercial... or at least her clone. Elias Koteas [Casey- TMNT movies1 and 3]: He seems to stay busy! Has anybody had the pleasure of meeting this guy? I don't remember seeing Elias in "Contact" either, must have been a real quick scene. I know Elias is in "The Greatest Game Ever Played". I caught a glimpse of him in a trailer for the movie. Happy/Smile (Anime Style) Sam has about three movies in post or filming according to imdb.com. It's great to see an actor from the TMNT movie universe have a skyrocketing career!
You know it never hit me that thug was Sam Rockwell until I read this post. Sam's the guy telling the other thugs to "get" Casey Jones in the warehouse, and saying they were "family". I still love Casey's reply in that scene. "You call this... and that down there... family?!?"

Actually, now that you guys mention this, I do seem to recall seeing him in "Contact". It's been ages since I've seen the movie, though. I saw it with a friend of mine in the theaters when it came out, and I seem to recall the two of us nearly falling out of our seats when we saw that he was in it. It was just a short, quick scene. Might have been in one of the flashbacks Jodie Foster's character had about her dad when she was little, right around the time he died. I can't recall. And there was another movie, I can't recall the title of it for the life of me, had to do with angels, though I don't think it was an outright religious movie. I only caught a few parts of it a couple of times on the movie channels at the farm. He played a character who was in a wheelchair or had been in an accident or something. The scene I recall was him wheeling out by this church, might've had to do with wanting to see the steeple lit up. He ended up dying, but the angel managed to get it lit up right before he died. I have no clue what movie it was, just recall that scene, and I know it was Elias playing the character 'cause my mother and I saw him and thought; "Hey! That's Casey!"

Vivian Wu [Mitsu- TMNT movie3]- She's been fairly busy, mostly with foreign films, but her newest movie will be "Shanghai Red" which is still filming at the moment. I know I've seen her before in a movie acouple of years after TMNT 3. It was another sci fi flick about some dude who got this freaky exoskeleton armor known as the Guyver. It was pretty weird to say the least!

Robbie Rist, the voice of Mikey in the TMNT movies, as well as Jett McCabe on the original series TMNT is fairly busy in music and voice overs. Here's his website: http://www.robbierist.comOr, to directly access some of the stuff he's done: http://www.robbierist.com/media.htmlAnd, if you want to hear some of the music he did on the 80s cartoon "Kidd Video", check out this site: http://www.kvflipside.org/music/index.html

Ohh.. also forgot to mention that Elais also played a fairly significant role as a high ranking officer in the war movie "A Thin Red Line" too. And Josh Pais was in "A Beautiful Mind"? Wow, I like that movie, seen it twice.. and I didn't realize that. I also read that Pais did a long run in the earlier seasons of Law & Order. So Matt Hill was Raph's actor? That explains my confusion. I once thought that he was the voice, but someone told me it was a different guy for that movie. Matt Hill also voiced a couple (for what became very annoying characters) in the Transformers Armada and Energon dubs, but us TF fans were wishing death to him by the time Energon wrapped up. You win some, you loose some. Oh... Scott McNeil (Bonesteel from the Next Mutation)! He's still active as ever in the VA acting industry. Awesome VA! Has done a couple other anime roles, and TF Armada and Energon too (also used to be Rattrap and Dinobot from Beast Wars). Great guy to chat with at cons, if you ever get the chance (and still can spontaneoulsy drop into Bonesteel mode upon request).

I loved that movie as a kid and ran into a VHS copy at Hollywood video so I watched it again. I now giggle to myself about Casey having bad hair. *L* I'm a big Elias fan, but that man is in some ODD movies. Prophecy is a good one, his role in Fallen is creepy and then there's Crash... which is one of the two most messed up movies I've ever seen. Also I know I've seen Judith in at least two commercials. One involvled her being a soccer mom or soccer coach or... something to do with soccer I think. I'm 99% sure that was her anyway. Personally I'd love to see her in more movies, she was my favorite of the two Aprils.

Frank Frankson's actual name is John Campbell and I have seen pictures of him but don't actually have any.... I wish I did my one friend is a HUGE Raphael fan and she is dying to see him..... Elias was recently in the film "Greatest Game Ever Played" he plays the lead boys father and I thought he was quiet good.... even though it was odd to see him with like no hair... *laughs* Judith was recently on the show "Close to Home" where she played the madam of a prositution ring composed of suburan house wives.... THAT was amusing to watch!

The guy who did Mikey in the movies (sorry, can't remember his name at the moment) does a lot of anime now. I first heard him as Iggy in Initial D. He has a pretty big part in that show. And he's also going to be in Natruto which is playing on Cartoon Network. He's Chouji! "Horray for chubby!" lol
Matt Hill (from Next Mutation) is also a big anime voice actor. Probably best known as Ryo in Ronin Warriors. Was also Kero in Card Captors, Pantyhose Taru (yes, that's the character's name) in Ranma 1/2. I heard him in Fatal Fury. And he was also in X-Men Evolution. Scott's brother. The Blonde surfer kid. He also made a cameo in Shanghai Knights, believe it or not. He knows Jackie Chan!
And Scott McNiel has been in EVERYTHING. Beast Wars, of course. He was Duo in Gundam Wing, Koga in Inu Yasha, Wolverine in X-Men Evolution, and Piccolo in DBZ. And many many other things. I bet you'll find a lot of voice actors turning to anime. That's just where all the work is.
As for the old school toon voice actors--I used to keep with with them, but I haven't in a few years.
I know Rob Paulson (Rapheal) Is still around. I hear him in just about any animated show that isn't from Japan. My favorite rolls from him were Yakko from Animaniacs and Throttle from Biker Mice from Mars. He was also Arthur from the Tick. He also did a few odds and ends on Tiny Toons. But I bet if you look him up you'll find a rediculously long list of all the things he's done--and still doing.
Barry Gordon (Donatello) I haven't heard in ages. I totally saw him on a sit-com one night. Darned if I don't remember which one, though. He was Razor in Swat Kats and did a few old Hana Barbara cartoons. I just hear him as the Nestle Quick Rabbit these days.
Mikey's voice actor--have no clue. Someone told me he was the Tick, which is extremely cool. At least it is if I remember that correctly.
Leonardo --he was also in Eek the Cat. Played one of the Fuzzy Bears lol. The only other thing I remember hearing him in is the old school Dub of Akira. He was Kaneda. Not sure if he's still around.
Wow, kinda makes me curious to look up these guys again. Maybe some research is in order. ^.^
PS Oh, and if anyone wants to see mini Ernie Reyes, Jr check out The Last Dragon--and old 80's movie where he's just tiny and extremely adorable. Just does a few ninja moves in one scene. Really cute. And I have always loved "Surf Ninjas" which he stars in. Few movies have been as great as that one lol

Josh Pais is mainly an acting teacher now in NY. He lives on 7th Street in the lower east side. He is married with a boy, Zane and he looks just like daddy!! I wonder if Zane likes TMNT...that'd be ironic. And yes, the best Raph voice/actor ever.
Rob Paulson's everywhere!!!!!! He's mister opportunity on the Toyota adverts. He came up with that too, brilliant. I think he said something like for the audition he intoduced himself like 'im rob paulson and im mister opportunity' and htey love it

Ty-Chou, Leonardo's original VA, or Cam Clarke, is still active in the business. More in the video game sense. I recently read his father, Robert Clarke, passed away on June 11. Very sad to hear. It means Cam has lost both his parents now.
Rob Paulsen will be doing a voice in an upcoming Christmas movie on December 2nd called "The Happy Elf." I don't know why it put me to mind of "The Littlest Elf" from "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events," I just hope it isn't like THAT at all!
Barry Gordon dropped out of acting when he joined the world of politics. I still have heard him do the Nestlé Quick Bunny commercials, but those might be old recordings.
Townsend Coleman, or the original VA of Michaelangelo, they've updated much of his bio (with an added picture) at Internet Movie Database, but his last acting gig happened in 1999. Oh, but he was a co-presenter for the UK version of "I Love the 1980's" (the 1988 episode) in 2001. The U.S. version, just titled "I Love the 80's," didn't interview any TMNT VA's, and that kind of sucked.
Looking at the movie stars, here's something funny. Paige Turco married actor Jason O'Mara. She kept her original last name for acting, but she should be known as Paige O'Mara. That's pretty close to Paige O'Hara, best known for the voice of Belle in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast"! Haha, okay, sorry, next...
Judith Hoag, I saw her in a movie on the Disney Channel called "Halloweentown." The movie has moved on to sequels with the recent one titled, "Halloweentown High" (2004). She's been reprising her role each time.
Well, there's more, but this is getting too long...

Leo's VA is still in actino. He's done some recent work on the Lion King. There's also a few others he's done recently as well, but the main one I remember hearing recently was the Lion King. *scratches head*
Such a drag to her about Barry dropping out of acting. I hope that doesn't mean we won't ever get to hear from him again. I mean ..at conventions...or through any sort of e-mail or anything. *sighs*

I guess Barry is just ready to move on with his life. Didn't he want to get into politics or something?
IMO, I think this is starting to get off topic now that we're beginning to get into the VOs from the animated series. I kinda like it better though. Anyone got any suggestions for where we should go from here?

Talk about a RANDOM Judith Hoag sighting!
I was watching the fourth season of CSI and she's in an episode. She plays a woman who... well... um... likes to have "relations" with clowns. I about DIED laughing when I found out it was her. I can't help but wonder how her character would have felt about guys in turtle costumes...

HAHA!! I loved the "Look Who's Talking" movies, and I watched "Look Who's Talking Too" last week, and I TOTALLY forgot Elias Koteas played Molly's gun-toting, manical brother. He fits in those roles really well, doesn't he?

Cam Clarke also did an album called "Inside Out", which is a whole bunch of, for lack of a better phrase, chick songs (to wit: "Son of a Preacher Man.") Sounds just like Leo when he sings, too, or so it's rumored.
The idea of hearing Leonardo doing "I Will Survive" ought to give anyone pause, but, well, there it is.

Believe it or not, the TV show "Walker, Texas Ranger" had a couple of actors from TMNT 1 guest-star in different episodes:
Toshishiro Obata showed up in an episode involving Walker's martial arts teacher, though I can't remember if he played said teacher.
Paige Turco was in another episode, and she played the older sister of a ne'er-do-well who was abusing her connections to the FBI to remain immune to arrest while he engaged in drug dealing or something.
It's been over a decade since I've seen those episodes, so I remember very little about them other than Aprl and Tatsu were in them.
Oh, and Ernie Reyes Jr. used to star in a short-lived prime-time TV show called "Sidekicks", as the (possibly adopted son) of a cop whose martial arts skills -- which he'd learned from his grandfather -- came in handy with some of the cop's cases. Ernie couldn't have been older than 10 (and his character's name was even Ernie), and his ability to kick the crap out of adults actually inspired my lifelong interest in martial arts.
According to wikipedia, Ernie currently host's MTV's "Final Fu" TV show, a martial arts competition. And a while back I saw him in a movie (possibly direct-to-video) called "Ultimate Fight", which featured his character in a Filipino family that was fighting back against a neighborhood gang and that received help from a Filipino kickboxer. That movie was really, really horrible, with only the fight sequences to redeem it.

And Elmo's voice REALLY shouldn't be doing a duet with Vanessa Williams, but that's what happened last July 4th at the US Capitol. (It was a PBS production, what did you expect?)
Yes, Vanessa Williams really did do a duet with Elmo. Live. On stage. Me, I was just there to see Stevie Wonder and the fireworks...

I just found an interesting bit of info on the Star Trek wiki site Memory Alpha: Josh Pais (Raphael in TMNT 1) played a Ferengi (big-eared, capitalist alien) in an episode of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine". Here's his profile, along with a rundown of his other work. Suddenly I'm picturing Raph as a Ferengi, and one of these days I might stop laughing. "The 25th Rule of Acquisition clearly states ... okay, y'know what? Screw the Rules. I'm the guy with the sais, so pay up!"

I might have missed this, but I didn't see anyone mention Ernie playing the stunt double for Donatello. He was mentioned briefly in an Inside Kung Fu article shortly after the first movie was released, and I remember the big commotion was how the fights were more karate oriented than based on actual ninjitsu, You can download Sidekicks episodes on YouTube. I just saw the pilot, and--it seems almost like yesterday. ( brief note: I thought I saw Don Cheadle playing one of the thugs, and coincidentally, some guy posted the same comment.)

(brief note: I thought I saw Don Cheadle playing one of the thugs, and coincidentally, some guy posted the same comment.) Yep, it's Don Cheadle. Ernie was indeed Don's stunt double for the first movie. I remember an interview with him in TMNT magazine around the time the second movie came out, in which he revealed that at first he didn't have any interest in TMNT or the first movie until he saw the toys and other merchandising; he saw how huge it was, and he wanted to be a part of it. I looked for a Sidekicks vid on youtube a while back, just out of curiosity, and I didn't find anything. Of course, that may be because this video wasn't posted until later. This brings back so many memories. Ernie's stunts in "Sidekicks" were what inspired my lifelong interest in the martial arts in the first place. The idea that a tiny little kid could defend himself against much larger bullies was very attractive to me. I find it amusing that there was controversy in Inside Kung Fu about ninjutsu accuracy. I mean, c'mon, this is TMNT ... what were they expecting?
