Hiya everyone,
I know when the movie was first being talked about a lot of people were very iffy on a CGI TMNT movie. So iffy that some people refused to see this movie because it was CGI and not live action (no one on this board that I know of, but I have met people who don't want to see it because of that). So I'm curious now that the movie is out, and hopefully we've all seen it what do people think?
Live Action: I don't care about the stuff they do with CGI, the costumes give it a more real feel and I want them to go back to that.
CGI: They can do a lot more with CGI and I love their art work! The costumes were ok, but this gives us more action.
Both: I love live action, though the CGI was good too! I can't decide!!!!!!
Neither: Why haven't they done a movie of clay yet, or little foam latex characters... like Nightmare Before Christmas, that'd be cool!
Answer what you think in the poll and feel free to post on why you choose the answer you did.

I picked both cause I've loved the live action films and I like the way the CGI turtles looked as well. To hell with the naywsayers who don't like computer animation. Neither: Why haven't they done a movie of clay yet, or little foam latex characters... like Nightmare Before Christmas? that'd be cool! You mean stop-motion animation, right? Unfortunately, I don't think anyone does those anymore. A movie like that is probably more costly than CGI in this day in age!

Everyone has their right to think of what ever they like. Though I'm sure some people do make that stuff still, you just never know when you're going to see it next. Stop motion is a fun art style. And I was just picking on another media for people to have an idea what that choice is for.

both were fun to watch.my only take on the live action is that Donnie looks kind of goofy. In the cgi version he looks oh so articulate.

My biggest problem with CGI still remains with the humans... and I mainly mean April & Casey they don't look right. They look to young. April should be in her 30's, not looking like a young adult.

Questions of style aside, I'll take CGI over live action at this point. If you told me I'd be saying that a year ago, I'd have looked at you like you were nuts, but there it is. After seeing the finished film here, I'm sold on CGI, simply because the Turtles look better that way. They look like living, breathing, flesh-and-blood characters in that world, instead of like actors in well-done bodysuits.
Stylized humans? Please. The movie is about the TMNT, not April and Casey. How the allies, enemies, and side characters look is secondary to how the title characters look. Just my $0.02.

Live action, because it's cool to see what people do to capture our imaginations (e.g. dressing up in costume, and creating plots that work within the constraints of live action movie-making).

Shredder, I'm sure of it but sadly the Mutanimals are a season of the past!

If there was time and money involved (as with anything, ha) I'd go with both CGI and live action, as in the way the Lord of the Rings movies were done.

Okay, I have to say that they were both good but they both had their down sides. Let's face it, the guys looked amazing in CGI BUT come on, the humans looked like Sims and most of us could Sim humans better than that. However, the live action had some amazing costumes as well but the third movie costumes...they had much to be desired...and April...they just couldn't get the same actress for the third. So the CGI does eliminate the whole "I can't get the same actor/actress to be in the next movie" problem but it causes the problem of the humans look simed or April looks too young (If I had to guess how old she looked, I would have said probably between 18 and 24 and she's supposed to be between 27 and 30) and sounds too ditzy (Sorry to you Sarah Michelle Gellar fans but she was horrible!). That's probably one of the best things about the CGI...so yeah...I like them both for different reasons.

Yeah i would have to say both... The CGI was as good as the live action... though they could have put more effort in the action bits.

I heard there's going to be a follow up movie to this one.But since Mako died, who going to do the voice of Splinter? My suggestion: the guy who does his voice in the present cartoons.any thought?
