General Aguila is the leader of the Stone Generals.  He was very loyal to his War Lord, Yaotl.  3000 years ago, Yaotl opened a portal that turned Aguila and his brotherhood to stone statues.  Unable to move or go on living, they remained stuck as statues till Yaotl brought them back.  Having a master plan, the Generals followed believing their brother was still the dark hearted war lord they all followed.   The Mission is to collect the 13 Monsters that were released from the portal, the same portal that turned the Generals to stone all those years ago.

If you ask me General Aguila looks a lot like the Shredder.  True his costume is that of a Eagle, though if you look at it there is a lot of things very close to the Shredder's armor.  Including the claws on the right arm, the shoulder blades (just turned the wrong way), and even the shape of the helmet.  For this I do find myself finding General Aguila, a good nod to the fans.

Please to those who post about this, post of what you think of the character without any big spoilers on the movie.  Not sure if everyone has seen it yet.

So what do you think of the General Aguila?
Is there something about the General Aguila you would change?
Is there any mission you think would of been fun if they did with the General Aguila?
What do you think of how he looks?

I think General Aguila wasn't too bad of a villain.  He was definately interesting although I would have liked to have known more about him but *sighs* Go figure with movies, you can never show everything you want to show.  I would have also loved to see him as a human.

I don't think there's much I would change about him to be honest.  He was an interesting character.  However, was it me or was he the only general that was actually referred to by name?  I could have missed that but I can't figure out how to say everyone else's names and he's the only one I remember because his name was actually said.

I also feel that this guy must have been the second in command.  It seemed like he did all the talking when it came to the group.

Now, as for the looks, I don't see him looking like Shredder all that much...I guess it's something that you have to look for since I honestly didn't see it.

I reckon the idea for the movie was good about 4 statues v.s 4 turtles.

Aquila looks awesome compared to shredder in my point of view, though he should lose some weight and look at the body shape of shredder.

The other statues also are good too, especially General Mono or whatever his name is.

I also agree that Aguila is a nod to the fans, and he was quite an interesting character and good for a movie-based villain. He tolerated very little and saw that the job was done to the end. It's probably pretty difficult to fight a walking stone-guy so he doesn't fail in the "kickbutt" department. LOL

Is there something about the General Aguila you would change?
Mmm, besides more screen time? (Well, I think we ALL would've liked more movie screentime, in general.) Otherwise, not really. His story had an opening, a climax, and a solid ending.

Is there any mission you think would of been fun if they did with the General Aguila?
Maybe the Ninja Tribunal arc? LOL

What do you think of how he looks?
I LOVED all of the stone generals' looks. The animation, texture, movement, etc. were all brilliant. It reminds me of "The Gargoyles" - nightime, stone creatures coming to life, and darkness.

Stares at Mikey's photo for two minutes Shocked

You know, there are some faint resemblances of Shredder when you look at Aguila for a while.
They could use that twist in the sequel; who knows, maybe he may come back and become the new Shredder! I can see it now, Karai uses the ancient chant to bring General Aguila back and uses her mind powers on him to make him believe that he is Karai's father! Viola, Shredder returns; hard as rock and ready for action! (Man, I should have been a writer!  Very Happy/Big Grin )
