Anime series always tend to have cool opening and closing songs....what are some of your favorites?

I find that I tend to enjoy most of the closing songs to InuYasha (there are a number of different ones)...even if I'm not that big of a fan of the series anymore. Also, I love singing and dancing along to the Shin Chan closing song....party party! Join us join us! lol Serial Experiments Lain also has a good closing song, though I enjoy the opening one more. I'm also a big fan of both Cowboy Beebop and Samurai Champloo opening and closing songs.

How about you guys?

Opening would be the start of the show's theme and the closing would be the music played during the credits.

My favorite anime theme song would be Ranma 1/2's opening theme to season 1.  Happy/Smile  Fast and upbeat, I really love it!

Well I still don't get the closing bit, but if this was for the beginning themes, Naruto wasn't that bad  Happy/Smile

My favorite OP is the second Naruto one:

Haruka Kanata by Asian Kung-Fu Generation

It has a good heavy beat to it and just gets you pumped up. Plus it was the opening durning most of the chunnin exams so I like it because it reminds me of some of my favorite episodes of the series.

My favorite ED is the 5th Naruto one:

Ima Made Nando Mo by Mass Missile

While I really like this song itself, what makes it so much my favorite is I love the closing animation that the song plays over.

*sighs* I don't even know where to start!  I never was able to make up my mind  I guess I can start here:

For openings
"For Real" by Tokuyama Hidenori- Saiyuki Season 1
"Still Time" - Saiyuki season 2.
"Truth's Door" by Yoko Ishida - GunParade March
"Just Communication" by Two Mix - Gundam Wing (This is actually the main theme up until about 3/4 of the series)

As for Endings:
"Alone" by Shimokawa Mikuni - Saiyuki Season 1
"Horoscope Rhapsody" - Galaxy Angel season 1

I know that you guys would have rather me choose one but I just can't...I love all of these songs.

Oh yes, Gundam Wing! Thanks for reminding me of it Arista! I love practically ALL of Gundam Wing's songs, from Just Communication to Rhythm Emotion to Burning to White Reflection....all beautiful songs. In fact, I have about 2 or 3 Gundam Wing cds because I loved the music so much! Now I have the urge to find them....and buy the series too! Thanks for reminding me of that series! Love

I don't normally watch Anime. Don't care for 90% of the stuff I've seen on Adult Swim..

However, I absolutely Love love LOVE Ghost in the Shell. Both season opening themes and the closing theme are fantastic!

"Inner Universe"
"Rise or Fall"
"Within the Shell"

They're all written by Yoko Kanno, along with several other songs of hers that I have fallen in love with. The characters are likable, the plotlines are thought provoking, and the animation is fantastic... Very Happy/Big Grin

I have yet another song to add to my list  Wink

This is love, by Utada Hikaru which is the opening song for Freedom. I loooooove this song, and though I have yet to see the series execpt for the clips Mike has shown at his anime dubbing panels, I am DYING to see it!!

For the record, does anyone know if the english dub for this is out on dvd yet and if so where I could get it? I belive I've only seen it out on blu ray, which I can't get cuz I don't have a blu ray player sadly.

Please check out this song if you can, it's BEAUTIFUL! And any info on my question would be much appreciated!  Love
