Hey guys, a bit of a question. Just something I've noticed since the board's been up.

I can log in, that's not really a problem, but I click the little checkbox to have it remember me when I visit so I don't have to log in every time I check on the board.

I think when I have that checked, it does that so long as my browser's open, but if it closes, or I shut down for the night and come back the next day, then I have to sign back in.

You guys have some sort of way where I can log in and stay more or less permanently logged in so I don't have to sign in every day or every time the browser harfs?

I've had this problem I think twice, I don't know much about it so it's up to Fugitoid to help.  Though I haven't had that problem in a few days.  I'll let him check into it.

TN,

What browser are you using? IE? Safari? Firefox?

In any case, I would check your cookie settings in whatever browser you use. Because I just tested with IE and if I put a check in that checkbox and log in. Then close down all my IE windows. Then open IE again and go to www.tmnt-l.com, it shows that I'm still logged in. Also, see if you have any sort of anti-virus or firewall program that turns off cookies.

I'm using IE. My parents had Safari and I hated that damn thing, and I've never tried Firefox.

I can try checking the cookies again, see what the deal is there, 'cause I did have some trouble with Yahoo lately, not so much signing in, but with reading the news and it crashing IE on me.

Could be 'cause it's old, too, I've got everything on this ancient computer of mine as updated as I can get it. If that's the case, meh, I'll deal with it.

It worked so long as the browser was open. If I quit or it crashed, and I came back, then I'd have to sign in again.

But it looks like it's ok now, 'cause I actually did a double take this morning, realizing that I didn't have to sign in, so it must be fixed.

I also have a nice anti-virus program that I use for virus check, defragging, and such, but far as I know, it doesn't turn off cookies.

It appears to be fine now, so, if it happens again, I'll check with IE, look at my cookies and stuff, see if that's a problem I didn't know about.

Otherwise, if it's not working, it might just be that my stuff's getting old and I can't really do much about that short of getting a new comp. Razz

Thx for the help guys. At least I wasn't the only one with this problem for a little while. Razz
