Hiya everyone, Yes I realized this board needed a poll too. Hehehe So the poll for this board is what is your favorite type of game. Board games, video games, Role play games, ect... After voteing on the poll please post a response of why it's your favorite type and which game you play of it. We don't have any games going on here on the board, though we're happy to talk about them.

I enjoy RPing a lot, so I picked Role Play games, though I don't use the books or do anything like Final Fantasy on video games... I RP online or just while hanging out with friends. For some information on a RP that I'm in that has been going on since 1996 check out http://www.geocities.com/M_Ivey/IRCTMNTRP.html It has not been updated in awhile, though the RP is still going and that gives a lot of history of the RP itself.

Well I voted video games... because I love playing video games! My current faves are Silent Hill 2 and Ico. I also love Mario. I've only really rp'd once... I'm kind of scared incase I mess up.

In the RP games I do, there's no real way to mess up.. it's all about fun. I enjoy doing an RP over anything else.. (though I throw the rule book out the window). It's something everyone can take part in and get to pretend to be the guys or be yourself meeting the Turtles... it's really fun!

Yeah, that's my favorite phrase i attack my online friends with usually. Not that i'm trying to give them a hint or anything when i do that... Some how they usually don't believe me though... I also do the dice throwing RP as well as the online no dice rp games. And the funny thing is, in every RP no matter what i usually end up being the D.I.D. Damsel in Distress. Guess some one has gotta fill in for that, and why not me? I am after all so cute!

I really prefer free form role playing, myself. I'm pretty picky about who I play long term with, because there are some renditions of the guys that just drive me up the wall, and there're a lot of plots that just don't work to me, though they may for others. Tend to make up original characters to play, though I've played Raph in the past (and I will in the near future), an playing Leo for the first time, and will be attempting Don in the near future, too. One day I may attempt to write for Mikey, but he seems to be the most difficult for me, as I guess I relate to his character the least, outside of the humor aspect.
As for video games...well. The most I could do in Max Payne was shoot myself in the foot, and all the others I end up dying within the first few seconds...or just make the character do flips 'cause...I have no hand-eye coordination. *G*
Just not fond of the rest. ;p

I'm a FFRPer too. Tried the DnD 'roll 1D6' kinda games once, actually, I was subbing for a guy who was out sick. My brother was running the game and had dragged me along to watch. They ran a game for me that wasn't part of the canon, so it wouldn't matter what happened. Heh, we ended up fighting against a dragon....I was a this absent guy's thief character. I was also the only one that survived the game...I ran when the others chose to fight. *G* Although we never called it as such, used to LARP all of the time when I was young. As for my online FFRPing, I've played a mixture of original characters and created characters...moreso the created ones (Hmm...Raph, Mike, two Mighty Ducks, one Saurian, two Biker Mice, one Hardy Boy, one Shaper (well, one that I didn't create *G*)). I've created a Deryni/Shaper, a psychotic human, a few Thundercats... Feel the urge to type "And a Partridge in a pear trea...." now.

I said Roleplay since I'd rather RP with Leonardo Mystic than play video games. I like video games but I have a habit of playing one for a while and then forgetting about it. Unless it's a Silent Hill game it's gotta be GOOD to keep my short attention span engaged, and even then I tend to wander. (I still haven't beaten SH4.)

I love RPing! I RP with my friends all the time over AIM or in little groups when it interests me. I've also RPed in like about a billion Journals. XD *laughs lightly* WOW. Heh, anyways, I voted for VIdeo games though. It was actually what got me into...role playing... yes I mean the acting one...where you pick a character online and write. Aahhh good times.

I've done some free form rp in the past, and from what I've done I've enjoyed a lot of it. It's just nice to have new plots and ideas come in now and then.
Lately? Been doing the regular RP stuff with dice, etc. Focusing mainly on MERP and D&D, thought if I picked up the Paladium TMNT rping game I'm sure I could possibly GM it. (I don't think you could get me to GM a D&D or MERP/Rolemaster one though...) Hn, now there's an idea for Christmas...*rubs her hands together thoughtfully*
Uh, I guess I've LARPed...if you count the essential role play I did with other kids on the playground in 3rd grade.
I was a rockin' April but I had more fun playing Donatello.

Wow it's really cool to see so many RPers here. Hehe esp knowing that TMNT RPGs came out so early on in their history... you'd think they were predicting the type of fans they were going to get Hehehe Right now I'm going through RP withdrawl... hopefully I'll fix that tomorrow night and Thursday night.

Card games. I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm a force to be reckoned with at Texas Hold 'Em. I've won a couple of tournaments in the DC area, and next April, I'll be in an invitation-only tournament, playing for a seat at the World Series of Poker.

I voted Video Games. Currently I am cracked out on Mortal Kombat Armageddon since it's got that really killer Kreate a Fighter mode, to which I have made a really awesome looking Shredder to use as fodder for my Huntress karacter. Below is a link to what my Huntress character looks like. Also if I ever feel like it, I'll hook the PS2 up to the PC again to get some vids of Shredder... that is, if i dont delete him and make someone else cause well I see I can make a really sweet Storm Shadow from GI Joe... http://www.youtube.com/user/scottycollins (there is also a TMNT toy commercial in there somewhere too)

I play video games more than anything else, but I'm always down for a card game so I voted for that.

Fighting games are my fav games to play. Me too. So long as I play against people who don't get emotional during a match. Playing people who enjoy a good challenge and adapt to other players is what it's about.

I go with Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Call Of Duty, and earlier versions of Mortal Kombat. I do however, like some of the Ninja Turtle games both from the past and present. I haven't played TMNT, Smash-Up, or Reshelled yet. I did however rent TMNT PC from my library yesterday, but haven't installed it yet.
