SATURDAY! - We all wake up bright and early, Dad takes his shower, does his hair, sahves...changes clothes. While Me and Iruka, just lougne in bed, waiting to use the bathroom ourselves. When we had the chance, I got dressed into my Gwizdo costume. (He's from a show called Dragon Hunters, it used to play on Cartoon Network for awhile, it IS an Anime, though it was created in France. It had some help from Miyazaki! :3 Backgrounds mainly.. ) Now I know he's a funny character to be dressed up as, at an ANTHROCon.. but..there's a reason for it! Rob Paulsen is the MOVIE voice for this character! ^.^ (There is a series with a different Voice Actor, Rick Jones. I LOVE Rick... not that I don't love Rob...but RICK was the FIRST Gwizdo. X3) Either way, I was EXCITED about getting to meet Rob for my SECOND TIME! ^__^ Especially since, the first time I met him we could only chat for a little while, and the autographs costed money.. yeck.. =/ But now he's voice one of my FAVORITE CHARACTERS! ^__^ Back on track... Iruka dressed up into her Kitty outfit and Me, Dad and Her all wandered our way to the Elevators. By THIS time, I had SOME HOW managed to grow adjusted to these things...though it still made me sick to my tummy. So we took the elevator tot he main floor and stopped to eat at the breakfast area, which was NICE! They had some great food! Iruka ordered herself up some Waffles, and I ordered myself Eggs, Sausage, Hashbrows and Toast. Filling! ^.^
After we finished, we raced to the area where they were going to have Rob's Panel, we sat INSIDE the room and sat CENTER! We wanted a NICE view of Rob! ^__o Especially me, since I wanted him to see my costume. XD We waited there for a good long time, and the room slowly but gradually became filled, until it was near starting time in which it QUICKLY became packed. When Rob arrived, Iruka readied the camera and aimed it at Rob, Dad got in a little late, but he still managed to watch the panel. ^__^
We were greated with a happy "HELLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOO ANTHROCON!". During this panel, Rob sang Yakko's World, TWICE. Once for us early in the panel, which we all clapped to, and once LATER in the panel, for an elderly woman who just LOVED that song... X3 So we were all asked to be QUIET. Which we were. At the end of the panel we were ALL allowed to approach him if we wanted to and ask him random questions, get things autographed, I later found out.... and so There was this one guy there, I swear he asked about 50 questions.. XD Then another girl did... and he got some pictures taken with some fans. All of it was cute!
I finally built up enough courage to ask him about DRAGON HUNTERS.
So I slid my book over to him and asked him if he worked on it. When he said YES, I was SO SO excited! (See...uh...at this time..I DIDN'T know for sure if it was him..and ..well GLAD it was!!) I have this whole part recorded here so I'll be showing you all that footage later!
After I had recieved the info I wanted i was tapped ont eh shoulder, and met yet ANOTHER friend from DA...Whom I didn't know it was! But then, JUST as I wanted to start talking to her about a Commission she wanted me to do, I had to tell her I'd BE RIGHT BACK. Because Iruka disappeared!! I was so WORRIED...!! So I had to go looking for her everywhere, and LUCKILY found her in the bathroom. Problem was, that, the girl who was there and wanted to commission me didn't seem THRILLED at all that I left ~___~; *bites lower lip* ...Ugh, Imma give her the picture for free, because I'm SUPER sorry about it. I never managed to get right back to her... and I was such in a rush that, I did somethign STUPID at this point. We got ALL THE WAY across the street when I realised that I'd LOST MY CON BADGE!!! WAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! I ran ALL the way across the street, INTO the hotel, UP TWO FLIGHTS of escalators, AND ALL the way across the convention center to the bathroom where it was LUCKILY still on the sink!! @__@; I grabbed it in a heart beat and put it on before nearly collapsing to the floor. (I'm an Asthmatic, STUPID idea for me, but I was WORRIED.) This girl who'd been int here remembered me fromt eh Rob Paulsen panel and started chatting with me! It managed to take my mind off of my HORRIBLE breathing at this point. Iruka finally walked in and helped me on out of the bathroom, the both of us slowly walking back to my Dad and across the street again, heading for the dealers room.
By the time we arrived over there we were luckily still early. There appeared to be NO line outside where the autographs were SUPPOSED to be. So we waited... and waited..s.eeing NO line forming, so I started to get curious...and scared... THAT is NOT normal for ROB PAULSEN to NOT have a line. But, I relaxed and watched Iruka sketch a little bit. I mean while relaxed and gained my breathing under control, watching the river below. There were TONS of boats downt here...with people fishing. One lady spotted me watching and I waved, and she waved back with a BIG smile. That warmed me up, but what FREAKED me out is when Iruka decided to start messign with A SPIDER. Now.... I'm an Arachnaphobe. BUT. I CAN control it, HOWEVER, THIS SPIDER wasn't one I would'vel iked her to MESS WITH. Little did she realise as she poked and prodded thsi thing that it was none other than A BROWN RECLUSE SPIDER!!! For those of you that don't know, that means, that if she'd been bitten, she would've needed to be rushed to the hospital for treatment. If not the poison would've eaten away at her flesh, then her muscle and etc... So GLAD she DIDN'T get bit. But I eylled at her GOOD for that. So by this point I was ANTSY, and I jumped to my feet and talked to some of the people who worked there. I wanted to know why there wasn't aline up yet, and it was only 5 minutes till the signing. APPARENTLY, the line had been moved INSIDE the dealers room. LUCKILY It wasn't all THAT big. They did it so that the Furry Parade could come on through!
Which I must say, I rather enjoyed seeing that parade, it was like NOTHING I'd ever seen before!
Totally fun! Even Rob stopped his autographs to watch it! His reactions to it were GREAT! *Giggles* I noticed there were some people behidn me who were really into TMNT! They had brought some merchandise, and items with them. Even picked up some old AnthroCon thigns for Rob to sign! It was nice to see and made me smile. So... when it was our Turn, Mimi had already drawn Rob a picture of Spooky, so he happily talked like Spooky for her, and Yakko as he signed her picture she sketched for him. We have that recorded, but what we didn't get recorded which I'm A LITTLE bummed about was Rob when I had him sign my Gwizdo shirt. He talked to me a few good minutes there about Dragon Hunters and what it was like working on that, how he really enjoyed it, had a blast! Then he ever spoke like GWIZDO for me!! WAAAAAHH... x.x; <- The bummed out part. Though he made sure to write, "LOVE Gwizdo" for me on my shirt and grinned at me when he did.
I'm SO happy. *does a dance* SO from there we had NOTHIGN but free time, so I decided I'd buy myself a Lemur tail, and thus, proceeded to wear it aroudn the convention. (I LOVE LEMURS) Though by this time we were REALLY hungry... So again, we mozied out for some food. Dad had ventured to town and looked around at the places to eat again. He found a REALLY nice place too!
We proceeded to go into the place which was VERY modernized in style, I enjoyed that!! ^__^ I like it when places are FUN and not always so traditional! There I ordered up this DELICIOUS chicken dish, the best thign I'd eaten all weakened SERIOUSLY. There were OTHER AnthroCon people there eating too so we didn't feel so, singled out. The ladies that worked there were EXTREMELY nice, and even commetned on mine and Iruka's drawings. So we gave her our DA names, since, she had a DeviantArt accoutn herself. When we finished with dinner, we ordered some desert, then skipped on out. I promsied I'd send the STITCH we'd seen walking aroudn her way, but, I never spotted him again so.. =( Waah.. From there we checked out the river up close, then went back to the hotel room for awhile. We fell asleep, YET AGAIN, and woke up at around 10:00PM, we watched yet ANOTHER MLB game from outside the window, and we noticed for the first time that, There were BLOCKS these colorful blocks that blotched all over the side of one of these buildings, like it was disco dancing or Trance! Which was fun to see...! But we were bored soon after and took off downstairs just to see what was going on. There we ran into MORGAN for the SECOND time!
(The first tiem was in teh Dealers room on Friday! XD He was selling some REALLY nice clothes/costumes!
) He invited us to come hang out with him and a group of the friends he'd met there inside of the LOUNGE room I guess if you wanna call it that. So me and Iruka, grabbed our books and joined him and a whole crap load of people downstairs in that giant room. I sketched a few pictures out and so did Iruka, but then at aroudn Midnight we had to leave. We promised Dad we'd be back...
SUNDAY -So, we took off and went back to the room. The next morning we had to leave EARLY like at 6:00AM again, so we gathered our stuff and started to cart it off to the van. On the way there again we ran into Morgan and chatted with him for a moment or two before we carried on our way. I was sad to have to say goodbye to them, I really did enjoy hanging with them on Saturday. I mean, It was GREAT to have a familiar face! x.x; When all was said and done we started on our journey home, grabbed some food to eat at McDonalds and ....later on that day, grabbed some lunch at Panera...then just continud on home.
