In the TMNT movie, we see a handful of the monsters that are needed to send Winters home.

1.  Big Foot :  Fighting foot we don't see how the fight started.
2.  Bat Creature : Is out flying and is attacked and taken out by the Foot.
3.  Jersey Devil : Only attacked after threatened.
4.  Sea Monsters : we only see in a chase scene.

A handful of other Monsters, but we always see them being attacked by the Foot, not the Monsters hurting anyone else.   I'm wondering what others think, were these Monsters evil, or were they just trying to survive in this world?

Discuss what you think here if they're good or evil and why you feel this way.  Happy/Smile

Yeah, I agree with neither.  I never once saw them attack anyone in the movie, unless provoked to attack.  Jersey Devil could of attacked the Dinner Cook, but he didn't.   There was no reason for the Dinner cook to be over reacting like that, the Jersey Devil wasn't even chasing him.

What got me was how fast the Turtles just decided the Monster was the bad guy?   If I saw a Monster fighting the Foot, I'd think... hmmm I already know the Foot is evil, not sure about the other guy but let's take the foot down, that big guy could be good.

I agree on neither because it was never shown they're intentions were good or evil, but what they were told to do by Winters.  And to survive, they would attack only if they had to, if they were being attacked, like with the Foot and the TMNT.

I agree on "neither" too. It's a case of "don't mess with me and I won't mess with you". The movie didn't ever say if the monsters harmed any human being while being trapped on Earth, too. And how long were they around for? 3,000 years or something like that?

Either way, that's a long time to go without one scratch on a person.  Confused

For the creatures to have existed in a world dominated by humans for that long without obvious (as in proven) documentation/capture, etc...they can't be wreaking very much havoc on their own. I agree that they're "don't mess with me, and I won't mess with you."

Despite the fact everyone kept saying the creatures would show up & destroy the world or take it over or whatever, I don't think they were all that dangerous. Maybe if they were provoked, which they more than likely would be by closed-minded, scared people once they were seen. But otherwise, I think they were probably pretty harmless. I don't believe them to be only good or only evil - I think they fall somewhere in between, so I said 'neither'.
