It's not super hot, so it doesn't really fit in the Hot Weather thread, but it did reach the mid-to-upper 80s today...in October. In Minnesota.
And in the next few days, they're talking about snow showers.
o O
I sense lotsa people getting very sick in the near future, here!

Yep, weather is messed up all over. We've had some wickedly hot days lately and then some cooler days with night time frost warnings.
Methinks Mother Nature has finally had enough of us messing up with her planet.

This heat wave is just hitting at the wrong time for me, I'm working on getting ready for a lot of company the week of Youmacon... but with it this hot, my cleaning spree has slowed down. I like it warm, but this warm in October?

Yep, same here, one day it was 85 and sunny, the next day a high of only 50. It hadn't rained for months, then suddenly it poured for half a day. Very unusual for this time of year.

Eeegads...it sounds like everywhere is having these issues!
I'm inclined to agree with Raph...Mother Nature does seem ready to start thinning the herd a little...yikes...

(sneeks a peek at the thread; cannot resist chiming in) Yes, even "sunny California is acting freaky! We have hot days and cold nights. I'm stocking up on the vitamin C before my body decides to have a "sick-out"!

Aye, get some of that cheap knockoff version of Airborne. Works just fine, and is a buck less. There's something going around that can put you down for about 4 days. I call it the ninja cold. It struck hard, but then faded away, without a trace. Hmm. Supposed to rain on Tuesday, Friday, and into next week... it's like January or February around here already.

Speaking of humidity... I tried drying off today after taking a shower, but there was so much humidity in the air over here, I stayed wet most of the day! Oy!

Humid, eh? And then at the top of the Salinas valley, we've had dust storms. Microclimates to the extreme.

It gets around 60 degrees in the daytime here but drops down to around 30 by midnight. Holy potatoes!!! We've had numerous sick people as a result. *sniff* Me being one of them. Warm soup and TMNT, baby.

That's just like here in Central California right now. They're also predicting rain this weekend! Time to stock up on videos!

Yeah, crazy weather here in San Jose. It's changing and I'm not really benefitting from it. Sometimes it doesn't make sense.

I'm glad you like the sig -- I'm somewhat of a Romero fan, so I figured it kinda fit. I might change it to something David Lynch-related later. Toady, I thought it was gonna be wet, but I'm glad it wasn't.

Yeah, how about that? It was a tad chilly down here though! But I'd rather be cold than wet!
