The news media said there's as many as 14 fires east of the metro areas from Santa Clarita to San Diego, to the Mexican border, and none of them are in control yet. It's said these fires could burn all the way to the ocean. As many as a quarter million people possibly being evacuated.  Surprised
Heard from a few people from that area who said they are okay, so far. Hope it stays that way.
Who else on this list is affected by all this? Hope you all will be okay, and you won't lose your homes. Sad/Down

Hopefully the winds won't be as bad as predicted, and that the fires will be contained before they take out too many more structures.

Very warm, windy and dry day here, too.

we got smoke over here from the mountain fires. the winds are insane. it sounds quiet right now, but im sure they'll kick up later. the ontario fire is actually a few miles away and i think it's out now. it was behind some dairies. we drove thru the location a hr before it started..i kept thinking a power line might fall...

Been catching up on the latest news from down there, now the evacuee numbers are almost 350K. Still no end in sight.
Glad to hear you're doing okay, BL.

What a mess. Sad/Down

A bit of the smoke has reached as far as Monterey bay, only it's a ways offshore. It makes for some interesting sunsets.
