And I have decided I am not going next year. Time for a skip year. While others may not see a problem with $75 for admission, I do. I don't attend enough panels or signings to make it worth that kind of money. Sure, they bring in some big names and whatever, but when you have to commit your entire day to see a panel in Hall H, and so I don't go to those panels anymore because of the crowd/lines.... etc. I'm also sick of the hotel booking nonsense. I am going to attend some different conventions and events next year. Hope those that do go will have a great time!

I don't blame ya Leo, $75 is too much for a con entrance fee. Esp having it at that with pre reg even! Usually if you register in advance you get some kind of discount that is just wrong.

If I find it "impossible" to do the $75 by January, I am going to volunteer for all four days (assuming they're not filled up by then). I used to volunteer when I lived closer; if needs be I can handle working three hours a day for the Man in order to save some coinage (and to make sure I get in).
But yeah, that is wild, the PRE-Reg. price!
Either way, I'm going. You may list me as one of the tmnt-l folks going.

Well...if things work out, then I'll be able to go. It's not like I wanna have anything interfere with it.

I wasn't able to go this year because of some things that came up, but I'll try for next year. Here's what happened though (I may have some of this wrong...if I do, if someone could let me know, I'll fix it): They started selling the badges for next year on their website in August. If you bought your badge from August 1st through the 15th it was $50.00 From August 15-September 15th it was $55.00 After September 15 (and pretty much now through when they sell out) It's $75.00 They did have them on sale, but they gave little warning. I found out in September on a random visit to the Comic-Con website, and I went ahead and bought mine then. Even if I don't go, I always like to buy a badge so that if I decide to, I have it. It's also usually the only convention I do anyway, so if I decide not to go, I'm not out very much. If you're at the con for 2008, swing by the preregistration booth for 2009 and have a check at their rates. In past years, they had a special rate for buying your badge for the following year on-site. I'm not sure if they still do that, as I've not been in several years, but it's a good idea to check anyway. So sorry for being absent this long, everyone! I'm poking my head back in to see how everyone is doing, and I will do my best well into the new year to visit a lot more often.

Well-- I have my registration! And (if nothing goes wrong) I have a place to stay! No driving daily for me this year! Huzzah! I'm so happy! Yet I'm the only name on the "who's going" list still....

$75? Geez! I had thought about maybe coming down to that this year. Also other fans up in this region had also discussed it, but damn....I dunno about that price! How much is just a one-day admission?

Well, so far, I don't have to go to summer school, which means I'm one step closer to attending the convention. I guess telling my counselor I'm going to community college was a good idea.

Depends on the day. Check their site, I think Saturday is the most at $35.00.

All they have left are the one day passes. I'm surprised they're not offering three day ones like last year (Thurs, Fri, and Sun)!
Anyway, if you're looking to go all four days, it's gonna cost $110 if you buy per day.

Greenwillow, Buslady, Mica, me, tOkKa... a few others I know from other places but I don't think they're members here...
From anything to do with Ninja Turtles--
Friday, July 25 2:00-3:00 Meet the (Wannabe) Press: Get a Sneak Peek into the Minds Behind On the Bubble— This new weekly animated web series takes a snarky yet refreshing look at current news through the eyes of four irreverent wannabe reporters from Middle Town Community College. Comedy Central alum Adam de la Peńa, creator of Code Monkeys and one of the warped minds behind Crank Yankers and Minoriteam, unveils his new show. De la Peńa is joined by Worldwide Biggies CEO Albie Hecht (SpongeBob SquarePants) and animation director Mark Salisbury (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), to give a behind-the-scenes peek into the latest technology used to produce this weekly show. Sierra Mist executives will also be on hand to shed light on the new wave of brand-produced entertainment. The Q&A session will provide insightful tips on getting creative ideas greenlit by major brands eager to discover and invest in up-and-coming comedic talent. The panel also includes On the Bubble voice talent Dana Synder (Master Shake on Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force) and Glasgow Phillips (South Park). Panel attendees will receive a free exclusive Comic-Con On the Bubble premium. Room 7AB Categories: Animation | Humor & Satire | Webcomics
Also Michael S-- but for Venture Bros, naturally.

But of course! I'm so sad I won't be able to go to this convention, it's a big one for Venture Bros...they're gonna have one of those big panels like they do at New York Comic, and Jackson Publick (one of the creators/writers for the show) is gonna be there with Mike...I wanna see how they interact with each other when Doc Hammer's not around to constantly tease Mike XD If anyone can get to this panel and record it for me that would ROCK! Or any pics would be awesome too! If not...golly I hope SOMEONE gets it and youtube's it!
