It's on but off topic, we're having some major flooding up here in the NW. I found this photo on one of the news sites of Youngs River Falls. (the waterfall scene in TMNT3).
Just thought I'd share.
This image was taken from the parking lot up above the falls. What's under water is the entire area that you normally should be able to walk on. The rocks, "raph's inlet", the beach, all under water.
Here's a pic taken during September of 2001. Where she's walking (Leah-nardo), is totally under water.

Good glorioski, Klork! The height of that water rivals what happened last year.
That was some kind of storm...

That picture makes me feel a bit sick, I hope everything cleans up good.
Here's a picture I took this August of the falls.

Oh my gosh!! I knew about flooding going on in that area but I never thought that Youngs Falls would get caught up in it.
I hope once this flooding clears up that it'll be okay to go to again. Oh man, that's so sad.

Yeah, Mikey's pic shows a better angle, I looked, I thought I had a pic taken from the parking lot, and I didn't
I imagine it'll turn out ok, since they do do some rudamentary maintenance. I'm sure once the waters go down it'll be ok. I think, honestly, I'm a little more worried about the road getting to YRF, that hits a lot of flood zones on a rural road.

That'd be Vernonia in Oregon, aaaanndd Chehalis/Centralia in WA. Those would be our under water towns. Though Vernonia is more..like..surrounded by water.

I still hope everyone will be safe.... The waterfall will eventually return to normal, and though the ground around it may be changed a bit, the plants will grow back quickly and do better than anyone who loses an entire home or family or friends due to the flooding.... (although I still hope to get north one day to visit the waterfall when it's more peaceful) (and the whole area!)

Hear ye! Hear ye!
I have gone to visit the falls and have got some updated pictures. Also, I'm gonna repost the other pics too so everyone can have a good compare to the before, the flood and after.
Just to note, the flood did change the falls a lot. First off, April's tree is gone (The one you see by Leah-Nardo below). All that remains is the stump and I believe the tree is a little down from it to the left. The falls now are a lot bigger then they use to be so the water current is not only stronger it's a heck of a lot deeper too. Raph's rock (inlet) is more submersed into the water. Before you use to be able to wade in the water where it only went up to your calves, maybe your knees. Now I think you'd get it up to your waist if not higher. It was too cold so I didn't go and try to see how deep it had gotten. Not to mention that current is a lot stronger now.
Here's the pics. Before, flooding then after. (Hope no one minds that I just copied the pics posted earlier.) And yes I hid them behind spoilers for low speed interneters
This is the one with Leah-Nardo
Another before pic
When it flooded. This was taken from where you park your car.
And after, this is taken from the parking lot
The falls and the stump of April's tree (The one you see Leah-Nardo by in the first pic).

Wow..!
Amazing how much mother nature can change things with one storm!
Well, one thing to keep in mind though, the falls DO look rather full during the spring and fall, and when we visited there last year it was nearing the end of summer, which is during the dryest part of the year here.
Lesse if I can find a picture of what it looked like before during fall/spring..
I had to steal this from HLM's page cuz I can't FIND that particular trip. This is when she visited out in 2002 during winter, all the pics I have on my website are bloody from the summer XP
(Kameko, Leah-Nardo, & HappyLittleMoron --- I think I took this picture, wonder why I never posted on my site any of the pictures from this trip, but I have the ones from 03....o_O)
These next two were taken by HLM I believe
Raph's spot..and the rope swing that I assume is no longer there since the tree it was tied to is now just a stump
And the falls sans-people
This was december, wasn't it Mo?

Ahhh, I didn't realize that it got so much fuller come spring and fall. What I'll have to do is go again the same month as I did last year so I can see if it's changed any at that time. And you're right to assume that rope swing is gone, rope is who knows where now.
