What split Kevin and Pete? Speculation

you know, after reading Murphy's Blog...

I can't help but wonder if the split was caused by the following:

Kevin: A bit more carefree, loose, and willing to try new things

Pete:  A bit less sure on where he wants to go, takes a bit of time on deciding things, spends way to much time focusing on the
business side of things rather than the creative and fun side...

The reasons you brought up are pretty close....but it was a lot more complicated.  There really aren't any fingers to be pointed at any one party.
   Kind of like a marriage, where people start to grow in different directions, and even if they wanted to stop, they can't....or couldn't.....I dunno....from where I was sitting when all that went down, it was very unpleasant. It still bothers me.   But there wasn't anything that could really be done to prevent it.  Like a house of cards going down it was.  Like a bad divorce.  And the rest of us feeling like the kids with parents in a divorce.....at least that's how I felt.
   It doesn't matter now, Shred.  It's done.  And we can't go back.
   I'm just thankful that the two of them got together in the first place, and produced something that's put a smile on a lot of faces.......and that we've gotten twenty+ years out of it so far.
