I give this site thumbs down too
Just to say that they didn't just review the movies they were picking at the fans who like it, ok they're movie reviewers. Though just because people like stuff that they don't, doesn't give them the right to say some of the stuff that was said, esp with TMNT 2007 movie review.
I feel that these reviewers are very closed minds, in one of the reviews they said that they hope that as the fans grow up their taste in movies grow up. Though the big thing about this, that I find wrong is, fandoms have nothing really to do with age but with different personality types and the best thing about TV shows, movies, comics, ect is that there's stuff out there for everyone. No matter what you like, you can find a movie that reflects it. There's no reason that any two people should feel that their word about the movie is the final answer about where that movie should stand.
They were saying that the fighting was mindless, they openly state that just because they're all Turtles that they look alike. They mentioned how fans sent letters saying they could tell the Turtles apart and still tore at that apart. That's like saying every human of a different color looks alike. Esp with the movie, each Turtle was given a personalize look to them, so even in black and white you can tell the four apart. The fighting, at least with TMNT 1 to 3, had black belts and even the same fight choreographer as one of the movies they mentioned being better than Turtles, Karate Kid.
I learned at a young age not to listen to reviewers. Seemed every time they gave thumbs down, I gave thumbs up. So 80% of the time, my taste did not match any of the reviews I read or watched. Does this make it so something is wrong with me? No, I'm a normal human and know many others who agree with me. A great example of this outside of TMNT is "Nightmare Before Christmas", how many people realized all the bad reviews out there for that movie? (Now this site gave it thumbs up, but still went down on the Nightmare Before Christmas Storyline). I remember before going to see Nightmare Before Christmas everyone saying how bad and stupid the movie was going to be. I was one of the millions though that loved the movie. And how do I know there had to be millions out there that loved the movie, if there wasn't you wouldn't find so many new products out every year for Nightmare Before Christmas!
So with the reviews on this website I don't take them too serious, and feel that all it is, is the view of people who think only the movies that they like matter.
