Nope. I have nothing I'm going to, though I wish I was.

New Question:
Are you planning on attending any events this year, convention, meet up, party, concerts, ect... if they're listed here on TMNT-L or not, if so what events?

Hmmmm... we'll see. Maybe I can squeeze some events into my schedule this year. It's tough because my job relies so heavily on me. Sad/Down

But gonna try to check out the new TMNT ride. Perhaps even go to SDCC (San D Comic Con). Never been and don't really have a good reason to go but some part of me thinks it would be cool to experience.

I would REALLY love to do at least ONE con this year, especially one that's close by that alot of my friends will attend, perhaps Youmacon. But as per usual, it will depend on how the year goes for me money wise...when my raise will kick in, if I get offered full time, if my hubby will get a job by then, that kinda stuff. Being an adult is not always fun. *sigh*  Rolling Eyes

I also love the smell of chocolate, especially freshly baked cookies and brownies. I also like the smell of perfume and soap as well.

I also like strawberries and chocolate...especially together!! Also the scent that came out at Bath and Body Works for Christmas, called Vanilla Bean Noel...it smelled like cookies!! Very Happy/Big Grin I can't really deal with things that smell too strongly of flowers or perfume, they give me a headache very quickly. I'm pretty cool with fruit scents though!

To be honest I don't think I have a favourite smell. But if you had a Triceraton pointing a gun at me, I'd probably say vanilla.

New Question:
Do you use a computer in only one place in your house or do you have more than one area where you'll sit with a computer?

Even before we had laptops I had more than one computer in the house.  There would be my bedroom computer and the living room computer.  Before I was able to have my own computer, I would spend so much time in the living room... wishing I could bring it in other areas of the house.  Now that I have laptops I have a computer in my room, and I carry my laptop to where ever I need to be.

It's funny really, we'll be sitting down in the living room watching TV and all of us will have a laptop with us.  Even on road trips, if I'm not driving I'll be sitting there with a computer in reach.  And now of course I got a smart phone which I feel like is a mini computer.  So yeah, doesn't matter where I am to hang out... there's one in reach.

In the days before I had a laptop, there was (and still is) a computer in what was once my sister's room. That's usually where we'd check our e-mail or work on papers for school. But now, that computer is no longer used now that Mom and I have laptops. Mine's in the kitchen and Mom's is in the living room. I'm so happy to have my laptop. I love it.

I never had my own computer before my laptop, so before I had my laptop I had to use the "family" computer which was in the "computer room" lol. Now my laptop is in my bedroom....I'd take it with me places like I used to, but it's on it's last leg, having to always be plugged in and on a cooling station or else it shuts down on me. But...good news everyone! Looks like my tax return will be enough to get me a new laptop! Woot! Though it will take awhile to get to me, it'll be worth the wait. *so happy!* Happy/Smile And yes, I also enjoy the joys of smart phones being like mini computers as well Wink

I have my main desktop when I need a powerful computer for things like work or playing games. But I don't tend to sit at my desktop when I get home. I'm in front of a computer all day already. Razz  I use a combination of my smartphone and Nook Color (hacked into a full tablet) as my main method of going online at home.

Yowch, I have a LOT of catching up to do in here. *cracks knuckles* Here goes...

1. Don't have a DVR. Could have had one when we got the satellite TV hooked up, but if I really want to watch something, I'll get it on DVD/BluRay or download it on iTunes.

2. Don't use Netflix/Hulu or anything like that. The satellite company gave us a month of free Blockbuster on that order, but we don't plan to use it. Don't want to pay for something we'll hardly use when we've got plenty of good TV channels and DVDs to watch.

3. Dunno what new topics I'd like to see on here. Still catching up, so stuff's kinda new again for me anyways. Razz

4. One word to describe 2012? Relief! We've moved, getting the house in order, and save for this cold I've got, we're doing well.

5. I've got a webcam built into my laptop, but I don't use it. Don't have any use for it, really, since I don't do a lot of video, let alone post to the web. I spend more time WATCHING videos online than posting them. Razz

6. I'm a Mac girl, always have been, always will be. Hubby's got a PC, though, so we do both. He's got XP(did NOT go to Vista, thank god, the crap we heard about it). Not sure when he'll go to 7. He wants to get a new system, but we're stuck on funds for awhile. He'll probably do it at some point.

7. There's sites that I stick to for the most part that I visit in the morning and evening. If I run across something that interests me, I might visit it, but I don't jump around sites as much as I used to.

8. Probably two places I go to every year, and that's the local comic con and the Ren Faire. We always make time/money to go, since that's about the only time in any given year we actually get to get away from the farm and have some fun. Am thinking about the meetup next month, though. Just want to get my head cleared up from this cold before I decide. Leaning towards it, but not fully decided yet.

9. Favorite smell? Ooh, too many. Especially since I can't really smell much of anything right now. Razz

Chocolate, cucumbers, cherry blossoms, lilies, the air after a fresh rainstorm, strong coffee, baked goods like pies, donuts, pastries, mm, and spicy food/hot peppers. One of the things I actually MISS about the apartment is one of our neighbors downstairs often made what must have been curry or something. Lots of times, hubby and I would either be leaving or coming back from somewhere and smell such a yummy smell of asian food or curry. Then our tummies would growl and we'd end up ordering chinese for dinner. XD

10. I usually keep my computer in just one place, preferrably my room. That's where it was in the apartment, but it's not there now. I can't even sleep in my room right now, since it's stuffed full of boxes from the move. It'll get there eventually, just not now. My laptop I keep offline mostly, unless I'm on ancestry.com or doing some research for a fic or something. I don't do too much on it that requires online stuff.

Mm...just thought of a new question this morning, thanks to a cute little ball of orange kittenish fluff.

New Question:
What sound comforts you the most?

I thought of this one this morning when I was feeding the cats. Even though I lost Jasmine, we still have a bunch here at the farm. Most are outside, but we have a few inside. One is Spook, an alley cat we adopted when we left the apartment, since the drunken frat boys at the complex were picking on her. Another is a couple of kittens from last year's hot summer, and one is a kitten my Dad caught here at the farm that wouldn't have survived if we hadn't brought her inside.

She's the aforementioned cute little ball of orange fluff. I was feeding her and holding her this morning, and she's got this habit now of climbing onto my shoulders and nesting in my hair. Or gnawing on it, mm, tasty. XD

But when she does this, she's small enough that she purrs directly in my ear. That's when I thought of the question, because I absolutely ADORE the sound of a cat purring. It's a sound that has always comforted me, from being a tiny kid, all the way up to being grown. Some of my earliest memories are being a little toddler at my aunt's(though I won't mention the name of her cat, it's, uhm, embarrassingly racist), laying curled up to her Siamese cat and listening to it purr.

I'm too big to do that now, but I'll still put my ear to a cat's chest and listen to the purr.

I also like to listen to crickets chirping in the summer. Dunno why, it just soothes me to sleep for some reason.

And I also like the sound of soft thunder. Just a soft, quiet, gentle thunderstorm. Happy/Smile

I'm with you on a cat's purr. I always adored listening to them as it was soothing to hear. We don't have cats at our house anymore, but we do at my grandma's. I haven't really heard them purr, but I know I'll feel good when I do hear them purr. It's just such a soothing sound and just very sweet, too.

I also agree with the kitty purring! Very Happy/Big Grin I also love the general sounds of summer, be it the different bugs I'd hear making noise outside my open window at night, to summer rain (although thunder kinda freaks me out lol), to the sound of the ocean when we'd go to Ocean City or Myrtle Beach for our summer family vacation when I was younger. Ah, summer time! Happy/Smile
