This is a fun show about a boy who was chosen to be the Avatar... he runs off not wanting this life and gets frozen.  Waking up 100 years later to a world of war and hate, being told that only he can save it.  Though to do so he has to master all sorts of bending.  He knows Air Bending, he still has to learn Water, Earth and Fire bending.  Can he do it in time to save the world and end this war?

Book 1: Water
Book 2: Earth
Book 3: Fire

I've only watched Water and Earth so far, I want to see Fire so bad.  I also want to collect this series.  It's really well done and the character growth it is wonderful.   The first few seasons Mako (Splinter from the CGI TMNT Movie) is the voice of one of the main characters.  They even in the middle of an episode, made a scene to Mako after he passed away.  I really respect this series and was wondering if there's any other fans here on TMNT-L.

So here's a Fan Thread for "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

You've found another fan, Mikey!  Mr. Green

I've been with this show ever since the premiere(though I've missed a few shows in between).
My favorite character is Sakka. He tries so hard and means well, but he can't help being the funny one of the group!

I loved that tribute episode to Mako. That's the only episode that got my eyes misty. I'll miss him!  Crying/Very Sad
He really showed some great tension between Zuko and his uncle in one of the earth episodes.

I just caught the episode where Ang got Appa back!  Cheers  Then, the group split up!  Sad

I want to collect this series too! It has a nice anime style, and the backgrounds are so beautiful!
This is one of Nick's treasures(next to Kappa Mikey)!  Wink

Oh yeah! Nothing like watching those episodes in crystal clear dvd quality!  Drool
My three favorites are this show, Kappa Mikey, and Skyland.
Those bender moves are fantastic; makes me want to take up Tai Chi; well, almost!

I like the bending in the series, I think that's great!   I really love how we get to go through and see all the air bending lessons and the growth of the characters.  They don't treat the viewers like we don't have an IQ, they get you thinking a bit.  And there's even death in the series, it's really well done.

I agree. Everything down to the music has that mystic oriental style.
It really draws you into it!  Very Happy/Big Grin

Then, there's poor Sakka!  LOL He has grown to be quite a leader, though!

All right! Team Avatar is growing!  Very Happy/Big Grin

I'm thinking of changing my favorites in honor of Mako. I'm starting to like Prince Zuko's uncle more now.
I never get tired of that legendary voice, and Cartoon Network is showing Samurai Jack again so I can hear him voice the evil Aku!

MAKO ROCKS!  Very Happy/Big Grin

i like avatar too, and my kids, (mostly my son) like watching it too. my son was allowed to  ask for something, because he had done really well in school, and chose avatar dvd's. he got the season one, water box.

i also  recorded some episodes on my pc, and got caps from that.. *points to avvie*

as for my favourite personage... for me, that is zuko's uncle iroh.

Anyone else catch the ALL Avatar week on NickToons including the final battle?   That was a GREAT week, now I own the full collection, I got the first two box sets, the first 3 DVDs of fire, and the rest on VHS from TV.  THAT WAS GREAT!!!!  I LOVED IT!  This series is a wonderful one from beginning to end...

But is it over?  I've heard rumor that there's another season going to be made, but I don't see how unless they're taking a totally new direction with the show which can be done.

Remember if you're going to talk of any spoilers from the series, put it behind spoiler buttons... though if anyone else saw the end of the series... let me know, I'll love to discuss it with other Avatar fans!  Happy/Smile
