Loads of collateral damage in this one... there were probably still people in those cars Don was ramming. Karai's headquarters being in the library? Best villain hideout since the "Secret Military Bakery". (Spot the reference, win a prize.) And when Karai said she wasn't afraid of the "old relic" because she was the Shredder, someone should have said, "No, HE's the Shredder", or, "I know the Shredder, and I know you, and you are not the Shredder". (Spot that reference, win a real prize.)

i liked this episode it had a whole bunch of little gems in it that made me smile. I really liked the beginning where Leo is having that dream and Karai is about to be killed and he reaches out to her and there hands almost touch. I thought that scene was pretty symbolic to the whole relationship Karai and him share. They are really enstranged from each other now because of there circumstances and differing loyalites. And when they woke up and they where all glowing from their chi power it was pretty cool. I really liked the whole awakening of the Shredder and the whole scene where they open his casket and his skeleton comes out was pretty neat and the some what graphic scene of his flesh, hair and muscles gowing boack over his bones was a treat and it made me feel bitter sweet. It's this type of rawness that I have missed in the turtles that been absent. It wasn't as graphic as when Bishop's body decomposed and and reesembled but it was still good. I even enjoy demon Shredders look with the blood red cape and the ashen colored skin, he looked looked like a living corpse than an actual human being and it gave him a much more sinister aura to him. It was nice to see Karai again after all this time but geez the gal needs to get over her self and listen to reason. If there is something coming at you that even the people you tried to hunt down and kill are trying to warn you about then you need to stop ranting and listen. I wanted to smack her. Although I did think it was good acting on the actresses part when she started taunting the turtles about them warning her about a ghost/boogiman, it really conveyed her disdain and loathing of the turtles trying to warn her. I was getting a little annoyed with Shredder's "wow, everything around me sucks" remarks the first few times where where nessasary to convey his arrogance and disgust at the world, but after the first few remarks it got silly. Oh and the new turtle taxi was great, I really like that thing.

The beginning of this episode was cool, I enjoyed seeing Shredder get put back together. It was like "YAY Shredder's finally back" even though this is a different Shredder... though at the same time a part of me wishes they could come up with something new instead of basically repeating a villain we watched the Turtles defeat... ok so this is the original and suppose to be more powerful... but still... it's a Shredder. When the Turtles woke up from the dream, I like how each of them had something to say about the dream and how Mikey realized it was weird that they were sharing the same dream. Of course this took a chance to poke at the Turtles for not understanding what Ancient One was saying about them being connected, which lead to our flash back point explaining how they got to this point. The big surprise is Splinter is behind them saving Karai! As much as I understand that they shouldn't look down upon saving anyone's life... the attack that Karai has done to them... esp when she found the lair.. this isn't someone you want to deal with too much. The idea that they are going out to help her, just seems like Raph would be protesting a little bit more. I LOVE the Turtle Taxi! Finally, the first real ride for the Turtles that blends in perfect with New York traffic. Oh and man does it ever blend in, even the driving style! I've been in a taxi which decided to take the side walk to get around another car before!!!!!!! (back in 1995) so yeah, Taxi's are scary drivers sometimes *G* So I enjoyed watching that, and hope that the Turtles keep the Taxi for some time to come! I would even want a toy of the Turtle Taxi! This Shredder speaks a bit more than he needs too, he'd be a lot more of a scare if he'd shut up. Talking is not needed to display power. He could just wipe out the minions coming at him, without speaking and it'd be a even stronger scene. Karai may be full of herself, but so is he. Something the villains in this series all seem to have in common. The Turtles were smart to use the van outside of April's to call Karai, but once again... it just seems like it's a plot reason for them to be worrying about Karai. Right now the Turtles should be using the time of Karai being a distraction for the Shredder, to be looking for away to defeat him. If they used this time that way, it could be less time of having to deal with the Shredder in the future. I am interested in seeing what Karai has that makes her think she can face the Shredder. Though I had a feeling that just when it was going to get to the real fight, it'd be at the end of the episode for us to wait for next week. Over all it was a fun episode. The Taxi was my favorite thing in the episode.

Something that caught my eye, and I'm curious if anyone else feels the same way... I get the feeling that part of the ep was an over dub. After the turtles wake from their dream, and Splinter goes into the whole "This is what they were training you for" speech, it seems like the words are not in sync with what the characters look like they're saying. I'm wondering if that bit was put in later, when they decided to shelve the episode that had been set before this one. It just struck me as a bit of an unnecessary flashback. Other than that, I did enjoy the episode. However, can't help but develop the hope that Karai will pay for her arrogance & stubborness because her whole "How dare you/I'm better than THAT Shredder" bit really was annoying. Wonder if that's a little dig at politics, where she seems to have the mayor in her back pocket...or, at least, in her wallet.

This was a very good episode. I loved the opening sequence with the dream and the fact that all of the Turtles had the same dream. I also loved the Ancient One's dialogue within the episode, especially when he said that things wouldn't be pretty. Demon Shredder coming back to life was awesome and scary as it should be. I also think he shouldn't talk that much, but I did like the way he was so menacing. Karai needs to listen to the advice given to her, even if it's from her sworn enemies. I guess she'll just have to learn the hard way. The Turtle Taxi was awesome too. I give this ep a 10/10. And the best part is that it's a two-parter. How I've missed the line "To Be Continued" in a Turtles ep. Whoo Hoo! Oh, and I also thought that opening sequence was very symbolic. I wasn't too surprised about Splinter wanting to save her since he is all about honor and whatnot. Okay, I'm done now. This episode rocked!
