Wow I'm surprised I haven't started up a fan topic for this series yet! I just even did a search to find it, thinking I did.... if we find one later that some how did not come up with the search I'll merge the two topics.
Any how...
Death Note is a series about a book, where if you write someone's name in it... they die. You have to be picturing the face of the person when you write it, so that others with that name don't die as well. Each Death Note is connected with a Shingami. The first person in the series to find a death note is a character named Light, Light picks it up and starts to do what he thinks is right with the death note and begins to kill off the crime. His father is a police officer, who ends up being put on the case, as another lead character is brought in (my favorite), his name is L. He doesn't give out his real name, so he can't be killed that easy. The series is about L trying to catch who ever is doing these killings, and put an end to this.
I personally love the series, I only missed one episode since the series began, I was on a trip and for some reason SW's Tivo didn't catch it. Though I'm so far pass that episode now it doesn't matter, I've seen enough to realize what happened there. I love the character of L, but really the full cast of characters is fun and great to get to know. This is one DVD box set I really want to buy once it's out.

Death Note is another one of those series that you want to watch in order, jumping in to late would be a bit confusing since you don't know the back ground between the characters and what is really going on. It plays on Adult Swim Saturday night, and can also be found onlline at
