Heh I know Fae is going to this, though figured I'd get a topic started for her.

Can't wait to see the review when you get back from the con FaeFae.  Wink

Imagine my surprise seein this topic started already! lol

The con was small but fun! It really didn't have a lot of panels I think there was three at most. But the one I went to of course was the panel for Stan Sakai. He started off telling about how he grew up and always wanted to get into amination and comics. Then when he moved to the mainland (He grew up in Hawaii) Things started to work for him from there. One of my favorite things about his panel was him talking about Usagi Yojimbo and how he does the comics. How he includes stuff for actual history which made me really interested in actually reading more into the comic. A neat part was when he showed how the process of inking goes on a comic. Pretty cool.

I was going to bring my camera to this but, it was not in Kira's bag like I thought. Thankfully there is a guy I was talking to before Stan's panel started and he agreed to e-mail me copies of his pictures. He even took one of me with Stan. Hubby and Kira aren't in it though cause Kira was running around keeping hubby busy.

The dealers room had some turtle comics, some people seeling tmnt toys, mostly the ones from the original cartoon and of course Harry Potter stuff. There was a guy who was selling collector cards with propr or such from the movies, like a piece of fabric from the characters costume, that I thought was pretty neat. There was one with Lucius so once i had the money, I bought it! Happy/Smile

There's suppose to be another one in November so we'll have to see who ends up being a guest there.

Picture's will be posted soon as I get that e-mail Very Happy/Big Grin

yeaaah! You went!!
And saw Stan present a panel. Totally awesome! He does such a great panel, although he's always so humble about it.
Glad you had fun!

I still have to catch a panel by Stan.  It seems to always run against other panels I want to go too.  Even here in Michigan, his panel was at the same time as Billy West the last time.  I really do hope to see one of his panels sometime soon. Happy/Smile
