I recently started playing the original TMNT game(yes, the one that's 20 years old for the original NES, I actually have one that still works after all these years  Very Happy/Big Grin), which was sort of brought on by a post in another section of the boards about the music sounding like a Beatles song. Couldn't pick out the notes(despite knowing which song was being talked about), but I did end up watching the walkthrough video it was from, as well as the others.

Really brought back a lot of memories of the game and how I used to play it aaaaallll the time as a kid. Hadn't played it in a long time and hadn't even really beaten it without a Game Genie(which made it way easy, of course). Got all nostalgic, brought out the NES, and started playing it. Then I got the idea to see if I could figure out how to beat it without a Game Genie.

The walkthrough video made it look really easy, but I'd played it for years and knew it wasn't so easy, even if I weren't all rusty on how I used to play it. Only ever managed to get CLOSE to Shredder at the end, never actually to him, let alone beat him, and that was if I was LUCKY. Most of the time I died in that long hallway just before you get to him.

A little bit of thinking and refreshing my game play and I got to thinking of the walkthrough videos. First time I'd seen those, but there's a few walkthroughs floating around online. One is on a reliable site I go to for tips, hints, walkthroughs, and cheats on other games(including the 2003 TMNT game concerning the scrolls as the Prima guide was of zero help in finding them all).

Then I got to thinking, even checked out the Gaming area here, which I admittedly rarely look at as I can't afford any current games and I don't have any time for RPG these days.

Nobody's done walkthroughs here for any of the games, either the really old original series ones, or the new ones. Kinda hit me that maybe we could do our own walkthroughs, do really good, non-confusing ones(as some of the ones, at least for the original NES game, can be really confusing), and add our own tips and tricks as to how we beat them ourselves.

Or in the case of the one game's scrolls, where the heck they all are because the last time I played it, the Prima guide failed to list them all(Earl and I looked a TON of times and still are missing scrolls) and the walkthrough I did find, was either confusing or also hadn't found them all.

So here's an idea I thought I'd toss around to you guys to see what you thought. Not only could we dig up some nostalgia for walkthroughs on the old games(who knows, maybe new fans who didn't grow up with these might wanna give 'em a try) and help each other out on the new games. Could be fun, what do you think?
