Gaaah. Drunks... can't stand 'em. For many reasons. The best way to reason with them is with the business end of a shovel.

Amen...I wonder if I'd be allowed to start carrying one with me on the bus..

A shovel...not a drunk...more'n enough drunks out there...especially after Vikings games. Football fans...*shudder*

People in general this time of year...*shudders more*

Ye gadz. And I mean the shovel for being for belligerent, irrational and very aggressive drunks trying to break doors down, not all drunks. Some are quiet and morose or silly and harmless, and just as annoying, but they don't warrant a shovel.  Grr...

Hmm, I suggest an old knee sock filled with sand.  Swing that thing around and whallop 'em a good one on the head. Which would be a bad idea if you didn't knock them out cold the first time around. Better to not react at all. They're just looking for a hook in somebody, so they can argue.
This one guy who lived next door just wanted to fight with everybody in the neighborhood. Happened during a lunar eclipse, too. Lunatics...  Pig

Yeah...I've run into all kindsa drunks on public transit. I'd say shovel for the beligerant and horny drunks...the latter are actually pretty scary 'cause they don't hesitate to get way too pushy, for the most part. 'S why I tend to look mean when I'm out in public alone, especially on the later busses.

The other kinds aren't too bad at all, though...sometimes rather funny, yes. *G* Really all alcohol does is get rid of inhibitions, so the seed needs to be there in order for the person to act out in really bad ways.

Drugs on the other hand...the can really change a person for the rest of their lives in very bad ways...

Note to self: avoid public transit.

The only repeated experience with drugged up people I got was when I worked at Blockbuster as well.  I consider myself lucky for that!

Remember kids, drugs are bad mmkay.

Time to stir up the fires again!

This time! I choose to flame drivers who run red lights!!

I am seeing at least one, and usually more than one driver running the lights EVERY day now. It's scary.
I wonder if we have a lot of tourists from places where that is common, or what?

It's like...SLOW DOWN out there, don't be in such a hurry. Yellow does not mean Speed up and Keep Going and Going....and Red means STOP!

Would it REALLY make that much difference if they were smart enough to realize it's been yellow TOO long and they can't make it? And then sat at the light for a minute, instead of risking driving into someone?
At one light in particular I go through every day, I am seeing this a lot, including people who go through AFTER it has turned red for them! --and I'd rather they didn't drive into me!
I know a number of people, and family, that have been in bad accidents because someone ran the light.
aaargh!
 Mad
There, that's my new rant.

Personally, I have issues with the idiots who pass on a residential road, with no passing lane, because you have the audacity to drive the speed limit! Can you imagine??

I take solace in the fact that said idiot got about 3 blocks ahead of me, then got stopped by a red light and I pulled up behind him. By the next set of lights, he was in the other lane and I actually drove past him...laughing and pointing at him all the way...   Twisted Evil

You were right with the first one. The halo never works for you. It's like an oxymoron, as opposed to a HappyLittleMoron....

But that leads me to a new thing to flame!
Those who try to use halos when they're NOT innocent. Never were and never will be innocent, but they pull out the halo and show it after they've done something devious.

Burrrrrrn!

Yes, I agree, bro...I can't imagine why some people try to be devious like that...

Ahhh.... bad driving... one of my biggest pet peeves. However, I must admit I do like to drive fast. Razz
But I don't run red lights, or cut people off, or not use my turn signal, or leave my high beams on, or change more than one lane at a time.... I could go on forever. You know there are some REALLY bad drivers here in Florida... and the elderly don't help things. It's more like a game of chicken than driving around where I live.

Now getting back to running red lights... you know what's funny... running red lights is such a problem around here that a neighbouring county launched an "I Stop on Red" campaign, complete with bumper stickers bearing the slogan. The first time I saw this bumper sticker I was like, "Is this really necessary? Who the heck doesn't stop on a red light?!?!". I bet these people running reds don't use their seatbelts either. Because that would be... like... common sense. I guess life's just like what I overheard one day, "If it's called common sense, then why isn't it more common."

Bad driving...verrrry scary. Gotta love the jerks who make right turns without looking to the right first. Ugh...can't tell ya how many times I woulda become road pizza if I hadn't been the one paying attention when trying to cross...
