Sorry I'm not around much, everyone. I'm logging on more to read everyone's posts and trying to catch up as best I can. Since this 4kids TV topic isn't going to be focused on just the turtles, this place is the most appropriate for it. Yesterday morning, Kids WB! announced the changeover to 4kids. Originally, according to Toonzone, this wasn't supposed to happen until September, but it will now be May 24th. May 17th will be the final Kids WB! airing. The Batman, Legion of Superheroes and Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! are finished and won't be returning next season. It's not certain what the new schedule will be, but I'll get that up here as soon as possible. It has been rumored that TMNT will also be moving to the CW 4kids network this Fall, according to one post on Toonzone from a member who received some info from a few inside sources. http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=198480&page=19

I over heard about this change and personally I'm excited about it... not like I ever watched TMNT on Fox while here at home, WB has had it since Season 2... showing it on Sunday. This news means that TMNT may finally be back on, Saturdays here in Michigan and all those other states that were messed up by the Fox network!
I'm sorry about those other shows... though I personally didn't watch them so it's not personally affecting me. I only watch so much TV... I use to watch more TV but haven't been into it as of late.

I watched the Scooby show that was on there occasionally, but that was it. I mostly watched it back in the 90s for Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain. Those are the memories of Kids WB! that I'll always cherish. I'm actually switching from satellite back to broadcast over here at my house. The price for satellite has gotten way too high and there's nothing on there anyway really, except for mostly reruns. I'll have someone tape the few things that I do watch on there, when new episodes air, that is. And it's okay about those three other Kids WB! shows. They all had decent endings from what I've heard, so they'll be all right. We had the Turtles on Saturdays here where I live, so there won't be a change for us except for networks. Only bad thing is, our CW channel won't be in HD until sometime later this year (they're pretty much the last channel in our area that's not gone HD yet), so I'll have to watch them with a fuzzy picture for awhile.

I hope TMNT doesn't move from Fox or that's it for me. I don't have easy access to the WB networks.

That makes two of us, Raph! How worse can 4Kids get! I actually had a reason to watch them when the Lost Episodes were showing, and they have the NERVE not to keep them on for the next season?? selects appropriate bomb to launch on 4KidsI guess I'll have to petition my satellite provider to get the CW back, but they probably won't try it since they lost it two years ago!

A friend of mine told me that starting May 24, 4KidsTV will merge with CW Kids, becoming CW4Kids.
Will our 4 reptiles get a new home?
If it's true, it would be KDAF-33 in Dallas/Fort Worth & KHCW-39 in Houston.

I merged these two topics, seeing as how they're about the same thing.
Man, sorry everyone has a hard time with the WB channel... never saw that as a hard channel to get... in my area it's always been a main channel, even back in the day I watched TMNT on channel 20 everyday after school. It's always been more reliable here than Fox has ever been.

Well, for me it'll be WGN Channel 9 for the CW network. But now I'm worried that FOX 28 (South Bend channel) won't carry TMNT anymore. I mean, it's not a bad thing if it switches to CW 'cause I get it now, but that would still suck. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to make do with it.

Turtles have jumped all over here...
Back in the day they were on channels 20 on weekdays and 2 (CBS) on weekends. Though in 1994 CBS dropped their cartoons here in Michigan.... so crummy 38 picked it up... this channel was all fuzz.. hard to watch. When the Next Mutation came out, Fox got channel 2 away from CBS, and CBS became channel 62... though Fox didn't believe in showing their shows either. Their old channel, 50, decided to keep the kid shows. 50 became UPN. So I watched the Next Mutation on UPN. Than when 4kids TMNT came out, Fox still refused to show saturday morning shows... so it was on channel 38, till WB bought them out, now they're back on channel 20 on Sunday mornings. No matter what, TMNT has always jumped channel to channel for me. Most annoying is this Sunday morning thing.
Each area is going to have to see what happens when the change over is done, let us know here what happens in your local area. If the change ends up being bad as feared..
Am I the only one looking forward to this change?

Yeah, CW might be easier to get, too, if you are on the south side of the 49th parallel - it's nowhere near 'regular/normal' cable for Canadian tv viewers. As far as I know, you need digital cable or satellite to get those channels, and, even then, it's a speciality station. Basic cable, in Canada, will getcha ABC/NBC/CBS/PBS/Fox. Heck, most Canadian distributors aren't allowed to carry channels like Cartoon Network or HBO.
So, to answer your question, Mike...I am most definitely NOT looking forward to TMNT possibly going to the CW.

I just got a saving grace, thanks to Bubblyshell's post. My satellite provider just picked up WGN, so all is well! That station merge would be a good thing too, for FOX's sake! Otherwise, I'll just drop them altogether, except for Thursday nights when "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader" is on!

Okay I lied, one last thing before bed.
I love that show, Are you Smarter then a Fifth Grader. Mostly because it's hosted by Jeff Foxworthy. I don't get a chance to watch it much though. *Sigh*
When I got my tv hooked up in the new place I'll be able to give a better report on a for sure yay or no on this merge for me. Back in the day though I remember it wasn't that great.. hopefully it's changed since then.

If anything I have learned these last so many years is just because a network has first rights to a show, doesn't mean that network in every area will be the ones with it on. Hopefully it'll stay on stations for those out there without CW.

Wow...I never even realized that. Our CW won't be great until their HD channel comes out. On analog, it's very fuzzy. And we did have satellite for about five or six years, but my family settled on a package without locals (which are $5.00 a month extra), to save some money. Right now though, our satellite is set to be shut off in a few days because the price has become more than we want to spend for mostly reruns that we've seen a million times. It didn't even get some of the other networks like Nicktoons and Boomerang...channels I'd probably actually watch. Broadcast isn't a whole lot of fun, but it's better than paying for reruns, and there's a few good shows I can still watch. Watching the Turtles gives me something positive to look forward to.

Lemme guess; is it Dish Network? I have Direct TV, and I've been a three year satisfied customer. I usually watch G4, Nicktoons, CN and Boomerang. Thursdays on NBC is about the only time I watch broadcast TV, except the lost episodes on 4Kids. I live in a valley, TV antennas don't work very well here. A win-win situation for cable and satellite providers! Well I checked the schedule on WGN, and no sign of any kids shows in the morning! Just stupid infomercials! I'll keep my fingers crossed that when CW and FOX merges, I'll see the new season on my FOX channel. Otherwise, heads will roll!

Fox is merging with CW? I thought it was just the 4Kids stuff that was changing.

I didn't hear anything about Fox doing a merger too...
oh and I was wrong, I thought CW was 20, because that was our old WB... but they took UPN instead, which is 50.
