Okay got him!  Initial reaction: COOL.  Alright first off I had a disappointment. His left leg joint was broken, the pin up in there seemed to sheer off. One strike against.  Okay besides that...  Appearance:The figure is awesome. Well done detailing, he looks right out of the comics. I think the dark lines that denote musculature and wrinkles should have been a dark green, black is sort of odd but it does help with the comic book look of illustrated lines. I love that his head is textured skin.  Watch the kneepads, they're not full wraparound straps, they're broken in the back for posing purposes, you'll have to glue them back on if you pull them off!  His sai I'm happy to say, fit into his belt on his sides, IMO the way it SHOULD BE! Not on his front so he couldn't walk right.  And I'm happy they got TAILS! Articulation:Joints can be delicate, like the left leg ball joint that was broken right out of the box. I hadn't even touched it yet and saw how loose it was. Everything else seemed to move fine, he can hold zai* fine & dandy. He is alot of fun to pose, no doubt about it. There are joints where most average figures could only dream of. I like that they put a joint up in the head and then at the lower end of his neck, so you can move them anyway you want. Watch the shoulder joint, Cyn's Leo came out with the ball turned the wrong way so be careful turning it the right way and watch those legs at the hips. Extras:
His hands pop off and you can pop on his climbing hands, I think they're called shuko?  The best extra is the turtle baby. OMG it is so cute! It's like the size of a hatchling spotted turtle. Those little grey things by the laptop are his throwing knives.  The diorama is nice and detailed as well, as you can see in the top image. I won't be surprised if the first wave sells out fast, overall this is the ideal adult TMNT figure. With this leg issue I've emailed NECA hoping they are willing to replace the figure. *zai = plural for sai. yes this is true. |

FInally got all of mine freed from the bondage straps twist ties.
Both Mike and Raph lost a hand when I was releasing them, but no problem. And yeah, watch the joints-- Thanks to BL, Leo is now able to flex and pose as he should. I was sorry when we found out her Raph's hip joint was broken-- hopefully NECA can and will rectify the situation, as my Raph's hips are fine.
I loves the NECA figures!

Hot Topic might have it online. Otherwise, you'll have to order them from a toy store online. OR, you could try eBay and hope they're not priced too high. If I find out anyplace you can get one there, I'll let you know.

Awesome review I'm sorry to hear about the breaks you've had so far  The worse I got is broken weapons... Raph's sai and Leo's sword, but I bought them out of package so I wasn't excepting prefect. I do have a set in package as well, which won't be opened.  |

I know there's really no excuse for the long reply, but are they a small company? They might be backlogged with a lot of orders, marketing, advertising, etc. with the new line available at the moment.
Either way, send them another email just in case that one got lost.

I agree with a resend on the email.
Also IF there's a mailing address for them on their website? Try a snail mail, too.
I had an order for Tandy Leather where they sent me the wrong buckles recently, so I sent an email.
Nothing.
Sent another one to a different customer service addy.
Nothing.
Finally, dug up the phone number and voila! They sent me new buckles and didn't even want the wrong ones sent back.
So if they have a phone number, go for it.

Iiii should never have read this thread. I thought I could be patient, even do without the figures completely due to financial reasons, but, it ate at me, and plinked at my brain, and seeped into my dreams. And now, thanks to a fellow fan, I'll be trading some art for a set, and now am awaiting their arrival like a little kid! Thaaaanks, you guys.    |

Excerpted and slightly paraphrased from an email from NECA's retail department to retailers:
As you are probably well aware one of our two best selling items are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 7” Action Figure assortment series 1. We have not been able to keep this series on our shelves, which I am sure has been the case with you as well. We are sold out of this series at the moment, but there is good news.
For the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles we have the tube packaging assortments available. These assortments are the exact same figures as in series 1, but they do not include the bases. They do include all the core weapons though and have 3 of each turtle per case. THESE ARE IN STOCK NOW, BUT QUANTITIES ARE LIMITED! So get your order in ASAP. I got Leo today. Mildly ticked off! One of the scabbards needs to be glued on! I'm like WTF? NECA needs to go back and look at the quality. TWICE this happens to me. My new Raph looks fine but his right leg needed to be pushed up cos he came out uneven. i had to buy him., I gave up trying to call, write, whatever..too busy about the other one. hopefully mike and don aren't messed up like this.    |

Finally got Mikey at SDCC...he's cute. I like his goofy little grin. The best thing I think is the nunchaku...real chain...that makes a difference so much.
I couldn't find Don Saturday, I knew I shoulda grabbed him Thursday when I saw him.
