Ha! I have Spork! *sends much thanks to Roseangelo* We're going to be starting Spork anew, with a much needed limit to what can be sent with him! And with a mandatory pictures-only-on-cd..including drawings if we can! ...... More to update on this later. You don't know what Spork is? He's my baby. Ah yes. And I shall not be releasing him until after my wedding. Possibly not until after my honeymoon. But then we can start him anew! I just so don't have time to do anything with him until after that point. I might just tote him with me to San Diego Con. Yeees. *steeples fingers*

Yep! Not letting him loose for a while though, he needs some TLC before I set him free. (Like re-sewing some stuff) It'll be after March (my wedding) when I do so because I'll just be overly uber busy until then. BUT, i have managed to figure out a way to keep Spork's journal going without using paper: He now has a livejournal. www.livejournal.com/users/sporkturtleBasically whoever has him gets to update his journal and his photobucket account whenever he receives pictures. This will keep his package WAY smaller than it was before. But yeah ... gotta fix him up first.

Hey! Good to hear you've got Spork! Any word on Sporkette? I have her stuff, but I have NO idea where Sporkette herself is at. Last I heard, it was possibly Australia, but I got her box of things from Mica and Mandy in 2004 at MN Con. It's sitting safe at the Farm, and I've had no time to do anything with it since this year's been so crazy(and it doesn't look like it's stopping either ). Do you want me to send S'kette's stuff back to you, or do you want me to hang onto it 'till you get S'kette back?

Rr ... not entirely sure to be honest. I'm afraid if I took S'kette and all of her stuff I might just overburden myself with WAY too much to do. Y'might want to hang onto her for a little while yet.

Ok, I can hang onto Sporkette's stuff for now. It's safe and sound at the farm, absolutely not going anywhere, so if I ever get S'kette from whoever has her(I honestly dunno! Sorry! Anyone know?), then mebbe I can do something with her. I have her stuff, just missing her. But if you want me to hang onto her stuff, I can do that. Not taking up any space or any trouble at all, so it's safe 'till we get S'kette and decide what to do. Btw...the photobucket account and pictures on CD is a nifty idea. Definitely take up less space that way without so many albums to send about 'cause I think we all get to be photo addicts whenever we have S'kette or Spork. And the journal's a good idea, too. All online, and we don't have to keep adding handwritten journals, too, even though that was fun.

Spork is the Traveling Mascot of TMNT-L!
Hey, what happened to all those pics that used to be on the Spork/Sporkette website... like, photos of Spork/Sporkette as they traveled around.

Spork was the original traveling mascot of the original TMNT-L mailing list.
He's a Teeny-Beanie Baby turtle from McDonalds, decked out in home-spun TMNT attire (that needs repairing!) and a fantabulous TMNT cape.
He travels by mail from fan to fan, visiting with them and posing for pictures. Each fan writes his journal for him and posts pictures of him online via photobucket.
It's essentially a way for all of us to share this nifty mascot.
As for his old pages? I don't really know to be honest what happened to the ones with pictures. I took some down--the ones where you signed up to recieve Spork--because the coding was pretty shoddy and nobody ever used it.

I would love to have Spork come by for a week at my home! I bet we'd have lots of fun together, and I've already got some cool ideas for photo ops!

We could make an offical request topic here on TMNT-L, that could be sticky somewhere... like events. And if we put it in events we can use the calandar to mention where spork is going to be. Just keep editing the first topics dates and who Spork is with and where Spork is due next. The bottom of the first topic could have a list of who has requested Spork. That way it's easy to edit and there for everyone to see. That's just one idea. This is a picture of Copy with Spork in 1999.

We're also going to need a conifdencial means of passing along addressing information. We don't want to be plastering out home addys here on the forums, even through PMs. I might suggest keeping your e-mail addys available here on the board like I've done.

In the past, generally only the person who was sending spork knew the addressof the next person.
If I was sending it to HT for example, I'd only have her address, and she'd only have the address of Tokka if she were sending it to him.
It might be a good idea to have one person having all of these addresses for two reasons:
1 -- it helps us keep track of Spork. He's...kinda been lost in the mail for a duration of 8 months before and I'd *really* like to not repeat that...
2 -- It gives one person the duty of handing out the addresses so it's not a big jumbled mess of confusion. IE: me running amuck trying to figure out where I can get JoeBobFoot's address so I can send him spork, instead I can go to Sandyphael and she can give me his addy, and she can also give JoeBobFoot the address of Raphandrew, whom will receive Spork next.
Good lord I sound like a messed up tutorial.
