I just want to post this because I'm already getting goosebumps! The only roller coasters I have EVER been on in my entire life is in Busch Gardens. This weekend I'm going to Six Flags and I will hopefully get myself on the Kingda Ka! It's in the guisness world records! It has a 465 foot drop.

yeah! Have fun!
I used to get to a lot of amusement parks like Cedar Point, Kings Island....back when I lived in Ohio. Also been to Carrowinds in the Carolinas, the Busch Gardens in Virginia and Florida. Disney World in Florida when I was much younger (but before they finished Epcot. <ahem>.) Got to ride a bunch of great roller coasters. Haven't been on any lately. The only roller coaster I've ridden since I've been out west is the one at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz on the beach. (And seen in the Lost Boys movie as part of their setting.)

If you survive that 465 drop, let us know! I can't begin to count all the coasters I've been on in my life, but there are a lot of great new ones that I have yet to try! One of my problems is some of them, like the one in Santa Cruz, isn't exactly "big people friendly"!

I love rollar coasters!!! DO have fun!
I do have a hard time on the straight drops though. My lungs freeze up on me and I litterally can not draw in a breath. Totally sucks.

One of my faves from Cedar Point was the Raptor. It was one of the hanging coasters, where your feet hung, too. And it was soooo smooth a ride. Very nice! I rode one of the standing coasters once, and didn't think it was that great. I hope we get a fun report of this new super big coaster! All this thinking about coasters almost makes me want to go to some amusement park, but then I've got a lot of plans for now. Someday!

Actually, since they invented those "sudden drop" rides, they give me more of a thrill; plus, I can fit in those without holding my breath! My fave coasters will always be those wooden ones! I love the sound they make, and they go pretty fast, for old rides. They have a pair at Six Flags over Mid America where a red one races a blue one, and the winners get their picture free! That was fun, but I lost!

I've been on racing coasters before, but never where they gave out free winner pics. And yours didn't win?? awww..... Poor Hun..... <ponders some sort of cartoon episode where the cliche chaser and chasees end up on the coasters, with the Turtles on the winning coaster and Hun on the losing one....and they get the free pic.>

No, no, not a good visual. The last lost episode was bad enough for me! Not spoiling, you can see what I'm talking about when you get the DVD. Back when I was on the racing coaster, the economy was a lot better, so Six Flags could afford to splurge the pics. It figures that my coaster lost in good economic times!
