Hiya everyone,
Another movie Review topic
This movie is great! And if you see it, you must wait for the end of the credits for a scene.
I really felt the acting and effects were very well done. You really believe the characters. Marvel did a great job and couldn't have gotten a better cast. My favorite characters though are not even human, I love the robots down in the lab, they got personalities and remind my sister and I of Helper from Venture Brothers.
I liked Pepper and believe she better be paid a lot for the stuff she goes through for Tony! And hshe best have health care, dental, and any other benfits you can think of!
A few small spoilers I want to talk about. I don't recommend reading unless you saw the movie.
I felt really bad when the one guy who helped Tony get away ended up dieing. Though when he raced out there when Tony was trying to tell him to stick to the plan... I had a feeling it was going to happen.
I knew there was going to be a big story going around Pepper when we got to see her in the movie, she just seemed like a strong character that we were going to see more of. When she had to go and try to face the villain at the end of the movie, I really was wondering if we were going to loose her. Since they already killed someone who Tony liked near the beginning of the movie. I was just very glad that they didn't.
I think Tony has learned that he should make back ups for his heart thingy to stay alive. And that he'll learn why super heroes have Secret Identities
I can so see a part two coming out for this movie. Hehehe I mean I knew he liked telling people, and was full of himself. Though I think it was dumb of him to just spill that info out to the world.
Over all I give the movie two thumbs up.

Yes, it's a terrific action movie. It's got great pacing, computer effects, music, acting, and I love Tony Stark. Pepper's comment to the reporter was the best, LOL. And do stay after the credits!

I too thought this was a great movie, and a great start to the summer blockbuster season. The acting was superb and well-suited. At first, I had doubts about Gwenyth Paltrow playing Pepper Potts, but she nailed it beautifully. Robert Downey Jr has bounced back from his stupor with such great veracity with his choices and has jumped considerable on my personal favorite actors list.
I'd give this movie 4.5 out of 5 stars. Now lets hope that Marvel can keep this awesomeness going.
And as a through back to the 80s & 90s..... Make Mine Marvel!

I think they are finally getting comic book movies right!! This one was great! Not as well done as the Batman I will admit but still killer!! NOW only if they could do the same with the TMNT, live action, dirty, dark, yet funny and light hearted, with some great action, and the proper look. Speaking of summer hits. Is anyone actually going to see the Hulk again?? I can't imagine they can screw it up as bad as the first time around. They shot it up here in Toronto/Hamilton and it looked cool on the street (minus the actual Hulk of coarse). But Still I'm not sold.

LOVED IT! OMG! Mom and I went to see it on Saturday and we both thought it was awesome!!! Christine saw it with her L.A. friends and we all agreed it has something for everyone!! My Preview magazine gave the movie an A- and I can kind of see where the minus part fits in...
At the end when Tony (as Iron Man) is battling Obadiah (as Iron Monger) and it turned into two middle-aged guys in metal suits insulting one another while ripping up the streets. That part was kind of blah and corny to me, but that was pretty much it. The rest of it so deserved that letter grade. The pacing, the dialogue (I read somewhere that Downey Jr. ad-libbed most of his lines!), the acting, the action, everything was simply awesome! Yeah, I was sad and bummed when Tony's friend, Yinsen, died. When I first heard the name, I thought he said Yensid, like the name of the Sorcerer from "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" sequence of Fantasia (1940). That's actually Disney spelled backwards! And did anyone else get a little teary-eyed to Pepper's present to Tony? The "Proof That Tony Stark Still Has a Heart" gift? I just went, "Awww!" and then something in the back of my mind told me that there was a reason why she kept it, or it would come in handy later on in the film...and I was right! We want to go see the film again on Mother's Day, or I know Mom wants to see it again. After her and I left the theater, we went to The Rainforest Cafe for dinner (we were in the Downtown Disney area) and she kept saying, "I can't get over how much I loved that film!" Totally! Everyone is loving it and it's no surprise at all!

awesome...Awesome...AWESOME!
Did I mention that this movie was awesome!
I had doubts about this one, but after I found out that Robert Downey Jr. was in the lead role, I said PERFECT!
That role was made for him, considering his personal life is very similar!
All the actors were superb, the special effects were killer, and the story was riveting!
The rest of my review is chock full of spoilers, so if you haven't seen the movie, DON'T OPEN IT!
To those who doubted that Jeff Bridges could play a villian, you're WRONG! He nailed it!
My only criticism to this movie was that diabolical tease to War Machine! I was saying, "wear it... WEAR IT!"
Alas, it didn't happen, and IM's fight with Iron Monger would have been too easy with War Machine there anyway!
How about that ending scene after the credits? Nick Fury is IN THE HOUSE!!

I almost always stay for the end credits just in case. It's become a habit just to sit through the credits.

Haha Hun - I'm so ignorant about Iron Man, the spoilers don't even mean anything to me. I don't know who these characters are!

Oh, Ami, you poor creature!
It would take forever to brief you on this part of the Marvel universe, plus I would risk spoiling the movie and the spoiler button is too tempting, isn't it?
In case you're really interested, rent a copy of Ultimate Avengers. It's a cool movie, and you can get acquainted with a lot of the heroes, especially the ones featured in this movie! Did I mention it's a cool movie?

Well, I'm going to see the movie tomorrow, so I went ahead and wikipedia'ed Iron Man. Quite a comprehensive history. Now I know where Stark Industries comes from! I love how everyone in the Marvel universe knows everyone else...

Oh, snap! I forgot about Wikipedia. Sometimes I avoid that site because it's chock full of spoilers!
Yes, the Marvel universe does a lot of mingling, as was evident in the past Spiderman, Fantastic 4, Hulk and Iron Man series.
There's more to that universe for sure, so hang on to your hat!

Sorry, the temptation was too great!
The movie's already gone from my area, and who knows when it will be released on video, so no harm done.
Looks like you found another classic Marvel mingle.
